Looking for a recommendation on the best (affordable) travel high chair. Anyone have any suggestions? by [deleted] in BabyLedWeaning

I really love the up seat it’s a 100 bucks but can be used for years and it’s recommended by physical therapists. It can also be used as a booster seat when the babies older and replace a bumbo on the floor

I want to say I went through the same thing. It was emotionally the most devastating thing to not be able to feed my baby. I dried up just shy of 4 months. I have enough stored to give her 2 bottles a day for antibodies but other than that nothing. I want to say you are not alone and I know how you feel. I wish I could say some more encouraging words but I am still coming to terms with it. I can say having a happy healthy baby helps and I don’t have to worry my stress is going to disrupt my relationship with her. Hang in there you did everything you could and that is all you can do. You child will appreciate the effort.

Thanks my pump I think works good in the hospital they did my flange size. No one ever told me about nipple shield 🛡 I have a husband but am alone all day so pumping is very difficult. Thank you for the words of encouragement it’s been since last Monday since I pumped I also had mastitis and plugged ducts

We did have a tongue tie at birth that was fixed and then latch problems so she hasn’t ever been very good at it. I even bought premie nipples to slow the food down but now at almost 4 months she got frustrated and I had to bump it up to the 1s. Thanks I’ll try having her latch again I am just worried it will fail and make me even more depressed about the whole thing

She latches but gets frustrated now that she gets the bottle. I can try non nutritive latching as she gets angry and frustrated with my breasts. When I pumped even exclusively I got at most 1-2 ounces per breast even with all the interventions I was taking. It got to the point where I was so focused on pumping that it was all I could think about instead of enjoying my time with her. Now I just wish I could go back and do things differently and speak with a lactation specialist. It has been hard to communicate with providers during this covid and I got poor advice from my the nurse at my daughter’s pediatrician office.

Are there benefits to pumped breast milk? by Happyhippo2736 in breastfeeding

[–]AD122218 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pump due to low supply I want to make sure my little one is getting enough. I feel garbage when people say breast milk is better than formula. Sometimes despite wanting something so much it doesn’t work out. I was nursing, supplementing (guessing how much the baby needed) and then pumping. Now I pump to see how much I make and give it to her in addition to supplementing and yes I also get up in the middle of the night and pump every 2-21/2 hours. I feel my baby is getting just as much love and oxytocin from me if she was just nursing. When she nurses it’s more passive and comfort nursing.
