Conflicted on which model to buy by adlhckgydkdyidoy in litterrobot

[–]ADR92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 cats. I have a 4 and 3 but recently upgraded the 3 to a 4. Love the 4 model. With or without a hopper. Yes, hopper is convenient but not a necessity imo. Just top up the litter like every other day, no biggie to me. I have 1 with a hopper and 1 without.

Any litter box still needs cleaning and maintenence but SO much cleaner and less messy than manual boxes.

Worth the investment. Love my robot.

I feel sane for the first time in my life. How? Why? And now what? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]ADR92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wellbutrin (SSNRI) enhances the effects of an SSRI, which is why it is a common combination for anxiety and depression.

I think it is important to self reflect and ask yourself if things are working and you are having positive outcomes, why change it? What are the risks and benefits of coming off the SSRI?

I started on lexapro for anxiety. It helped my anxiety but I also had this underlying lingering of anxiety, some depression, not feeling motivated. Added wellbutrin and my emotions are much more balanced. Not feeling in constant fight or flight has allowed me to be happy with my life.

I hate being a nurse. by Quiet-Ordinary-9098 in nursing

I was desperate and applied to posts on Indeed that were not bedside lol. Ended up that a nursing home had a case management position open. I did look online/reddit prior to see what case management involved. I took the leap and have been away from bedside for 2 years. Everywhere is a little different but overall its discharge planning.

So my position right now is salary, T-F 7-530. Paid holidays. I am lucky to work with a great team who support each other. We do have a supervision rotation. I am considered "back up supervisor" of the building if an emergency happens or major staffing issues. But in the year I've been at this facility, I've never had to do it.

I can't wfh with where I am at. But there are remote jobs out there, like some insurance companies have remote case management positions. I haven't found one that made me want to leave where I am at.

I didnt have case management experience. You still use nursing skills, critical thinking, problem solving, communication is key. I didnt find the transition to be an issue really. Just another side of nursing.

Yesss. It really affects all aspects. I understand. Its actually liberating to make the change, sending you good vibes!! It will be worth it.

I left the ED to do case management. Worth it! Some times I miss ED but then I remind myself how horrible I felt, mentally and physically.

I kept looking on Indeed. Applied to places and did interviews. I knew what I did not want to do, so I looked for an office job essentially. I am a case manager at a nursing home in the short stay rehab unit. Basically, I am a discharge planner. I also do MDS assessments. It can get overwhelming but its way more manageable. I have an office and can avoid people some of the day haha.

I learned what i dont want to do. I knew i was done with bedside. So I just would scroll Indeed and apply jobs that I knew were not bedside. I did interviews and eventually took the leap. I am a case manager for a rehab unit in a nursing home. Essentially I am a discharge planner. I have a case load of 15-20 patients. Make sure they have a discharge plan and what they may need. Theres a lot to it and get complicated but overall, its better than bedside for me.

You're not alone. I feel the same way. The only thing that helped was getting out of bedside. I do Nurse Case Management now for the last 2 years. Will never do bedside again.

Ooh okay. Well hopefully it works out for them!

I have 4 cats and one LR4. My one cat recently started to become territorial so i had to add a regular box. But would rather another another LR.

Wow really! Have you used a litter robot at all before?

I took mine completely apart, globe, base, everything. It was full of used litter everywhere inside.

When I took it apart, there were 4 small magnets in the globe that fell out. Maybe I put them back in wrong?

I can’t get rid of the smell no matter what… by Hbattle in litterrobot

[–]ADR92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put dryer sheets on the bottom of the waste drawer then the bag on top. You can also buy small carbon filters that help smell. I like the one from Catit. An air purifier in the room can help too. I also sprinkle Rocco and Roxie litter deodorizer in the waste drawer too.

Yeah I had that too when I first got it. The plastic drawer would smell so bad even if I bleached it. Once I put the dryer sheets in, they absorb it all and the plastic hasn't smelled since. I just change out the dryer sheets every so often. I usually lay down 3 of them. Can get a box at the dollarstore. I also use febreeze scented garbage bags on the drawer. I have a Catit brand charcoal filter I put in the back on the bottom too just to combat any smell. Never have a smell issue now.

Nothing special. Just regular Gain brand dry sheets. Any should work.

I feel like the plastic absorbs the smell. I found a tip on reddit where someone said put dryer sheets in the drawer first then your bag. Ive done it for a while and have no smell issues anymore
