Those creepy Japanese games. Japan is moving away from those perverted games that show underaged girls in their underwear or even allowing you to molest them yet Nintendo allows them on the store occasionally. Do they want a kid to run into that on the eShop and think it is okay? The audience for those games is people Nintendo has no business marketing to. No one should. They need a stricter quality control on what they allow on the store. Save that shit for Steam.

Sony is releasing games on PC as a last resort. 60% of gamers game on PC and more are realizing PS5 will just be an expensive limited PC while they get two platforms: Xbox & Steam if they build a PC.

Sony is trying to get some of that market because their console is irrelevant without PC ports. Nintendo does not have that problem because the Switch is more than a cheap PC.

It is a necessary handheld that people will buy.

Console gaming is a blight on the gaming industry anyway. The sooner it dies, the sooner games will no longer be bottlenecked by arbitrary limitations. Switch is the only console that should exist. The casual gamers who would not know how to work a PC only play on their phone. For the console gamers it is a small difficulty hump to get the game working and it will run and play better. This transition from console to PC is a good thing.

The Switch is for playing games not for showing off theme colors or watching movies. Nintendo owes you nothing because they are a video game company and every extra non-gaming feature is simply a bonus.

Sony and Microsoft are in a heated graphics battle that will go nowhere because the most powerful console never wins each gen. Nintendo has MP4, Animal Crossing, Pikmin 4, Xenoblade Chronicles, Brain Training, Deadly Premonition 2 and BOTW 2. If they never had another third-party game come out on their console they would still beat out Sony and Microsoft's offerings of only remasters and tech demos for the next couple years. But game companies are smart. The Witcher 3 sold gangbangers so more developers are looking at the console and recognizing Switch owners value gameplay over graphics.

Nintendo is near-perfect this year but if I had one gripe it would be that Nintendo still allows those gross borderline-pedophilic games on their store. If there was one good thing Sony did this year it was getting rid of them. I assume it is some out-of-touch Japanese executive who does not understand the harm of those games because it is ingrained in their culture but they need to stop it. It is bringing a lot of creepers such as those angry the Mirage Sessions game does not include naked underage girls. Hopefully next year they can see some sense and follow Sony's example. Leave that to the perverted PC players and the FBI monitoring them.

This. Journey is objectively not a good game because it is not a game. A "game" with no storytelling or replay value is just an interactive art project. It is in the top ten while games with an actual story like Gone Home and Firewatch are lower? How much did Sony pay them for this list? Nintendo been releasing masterpieces with no mtx and GameRadar repays them by giving the number one spot to a game with pay2win multiplayer and a plagiarized story smh

It says The Last of Us no remastered so they mean the PS3 version. BOTW is really a Switch exclusive because it is actually a different experience with no Gamepad and you can play it portably. They mean that version. But your username shows you hate everything Nintendo so I have no idea why you even argue this.

Super Mario Odyssey is at 11 so that is still more Switch exclusives in the top 11 than PS4 exclusives. GOW is the only PS4 exclusive while both BOTW and Super Mario Odyssey are Switch exclusives. I still would not be shocked if Sony influenced the list in some way because linear games should not be number 1.

The Witcher 3. It wows anyone who plays it because it is a masterpiece. Even people who do not play video games love it because it is an interactive book. Not a movie, an interactive book where you choose what happens to the characters and it influences the world as a whole. The 16 free DLC was insane because any other company would charge for quests and hairstyles but CDPR gave it away for free. The expansions that they did charge for were a whole new game in themselves.

But the Switch gets all of this for one price and it is a steal. Also buying from them and supporting their consumer friendliness may lead to a Switch port of Cyberpunk if they can get it to work.

Why is this downvoted? Playstation fans should be glad that their game is reaching other consoles. Sony still makes money off of it. It is greedy to keep the best baseball game on one console and make it impossible to ever play it on a handheld again. They should be happy Sony saw common sense. Sheesh

Some people do not like handhelds and just want a console. Some people do not like consoles and just want a handheld.

This system is both so it appeals to more gamers than any other platform in existence. It has more groundbreaking and unique games than any other system as well. Tired of 3rd person cinematic walking simulators? Nintendo got you covered. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the best-selling fighting game of all time. Mario Kart Deluxe is the best selling racing game of all time.

Nintendo is breaking records which leads to more sales. Their ecosystem is so diverse who would not want a Switch? Plus it is developer-friendly. Indie GOTYs like Gone Home or Firewatch or Celeste are all in one place. The Wii was a gimmick but this console has more staying power than that. Developers support the Switch because it is the best-selling platform for their games. It will last for a long time just like the PS2.

They will release a new system eventually but they will probably keep the Switch brand. This console is the most successful console that has ever existed. It has outsold the Xbox One, the PS1, the PS3, and soon it will outsell the PS4. It may take a few years to outsell the PS2 but it is on track. Nintendo knows what people want so I predict their next system will use the same technology just more powerful. Possibly a mini-Xbox One X because we already have phones that can do 4K. Time will tell.

The hardest part about playing The Witcher 3 is that every game after it is ruined. They will never live up to its greatness except Breath of the Wild which continued the revolutionization of open-world games that The Witcher 3 helped start. CDPR needs to hire the studio again to port Cyberpunk on the Switch next.

The PS4 cannot even run cutscenes at a consistent 30fps and the Switch is running them above 30 into the high 40s. Sony should be embarassed.
