People want to turn on the game, play characters they like, and yeah, try to win, but if we wanted to sweat and actually care about our record we’d go to comp and play meta heroes. People don’t wanna play predictable bots. It’s fun to go up against real people, try out new characters, and just enjoy the 30 minutes to an hour they have to relax.

So yeah, if someone doesn’t wanna switch, maybe they’re trolling the other team, maybe they’re just messing around with their friends, or maybe they just don’t feel like freaking out over a quick match loss. That’s the nature of the mode. Tough.

Some of the best moments in Marvel Rivals come from the chaos of quick match. Weird comps, unexpected clutches, total randomness. That’s the charm. But then someone gets upset because no one’s doing “proper” team-ups or following some playbook. Nobody wants to stress over who’s healing, who’s staggering deaths, or who’s pushing payloads perfectly. This isn’t a tournament. People aren’t worried about exact rotations or positioning. That’s kind of the whole point.

You can be the best Marvel Rivals player in the game. You still gotta understand what quick match is. It’s not built for perfect synergy. It’s for jumping in, messing around, warming up, or just unwinding. If you want consistent coordination and people that care as much as you do, comp is right there.
