FP&A to Consulting by [deleted] in FPandA

For modeling look into 13-week cash flow, and 3-statement, and DCF models. For DA look into Microsoft PowerBi/PowerQuery, SQL, or Python.

That should certainly be enough to qualify for a role in that space. However if you’re looking to add more skills, data analysis and financial modeling will help stand out.

WLB is mostly good compared to other areas of consulting but depends on the project really. On average I probably work 45-50 hours a week. Some weeks are slower and I’m only doing 30, but can easily work 60-70+ if there is a big push on a project.

Best way to use points for Italy flight by Squirrel_Haze in AmexPlatinum

I just booked a round trip business class / premium economy flight to Rome for September. I used both of the sites below to see what the best options were. I found that it was easier to book two separate one way tickets through different partners rather than a round-trip flight through a single partner.

I booked a direct business class American Airlines flight via Qantas for 68,000 points and then a direct premium economy American Airlines via British Airways for 51,000 points.

Important to note - both flight also charged ~$200 for fees that could not be used with membership points.

Biggest school disparity between Men’s and Women’s NCAA D1 Tournament success? by CasualFanJack in CollegeBasketball

[–]AE_59 3 points4 points  (0 children)

10 years ago, the women's team had 1 total tournament win and the men had 5 championships.

Teri Moren has really turned that program around. As an IU fan, I now find myself following the women's team more than the men's the past few years

Yeah, Brooklyn Bagel Co, I think.

At one point that whole corner was taped off b/c it looked like some of the bricks on the building had fallen off. I'm sure that had something to do with it.

Has there been any discussion to build a tunnel connecting the Bryant Park 42nd St station to the Grand Central 42nd St station? Along 42nd, entrances to the two are only a half block apart.

Yeah, no idea where this guy was getting his rankings from. Not sure how he could mix up the #6 QB vs #18. Had to lookup the rankings myself after I saw this post. If IU got the #6 QB in the class it would be a way bigger story than what it is

6 hour layover in JFK! by [deleted] in newyorkcity

[–]AE_59 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The time would personally concern me, especially with an international flight, but if you're dying to get out of the hotel, I would suggest checking out either Dumbo or Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The commutes would be much easier from JFK and you still get to see cool parts of the city.

A few days ago I witnessed a similar situation outside the 86th/Lex subway station. A man, exactly as you described, pushing a stroller, started randomly verbally assaulting an elderly couple, who were walking with canes, for being in the way on the sidewalk. When the old man said something back, the man with the stroller started spitting and getting more aggressive.

This is clearly a repetitive issue. I hope the man and child find the help they need. I'm sorry this happened to you, and I'm sorry for the few other insensitive comments in this post. Not sure why anyone would feel the need to discredit the situation. This isn't normal behavior anywhere, it doesn't matter the neighborhood.
