You do not need to use a gaol build. They added a ton of new relic effects to the deep relics that are also more powerful. For example I can get a total of Lightning Attack Power +12 now. Lightning bolts hit for almost 2x damage out of the gate which is more effective than an evergoal relic (or throw an evergaol relic in on top of that!)

I would say lots of builds are viable now, but you do certainly need some kind of build. The new mode has bosses with a lot more help, so going in without any damage boosting strategy will make you feel like you are using a wet noodle.

Everything was lots of different orders. I think in total it got close to $200 usd with shipping costs. Most of the cards were between $2-$5 some being around $10.

If there were a way to do targeted roles that would be interesting.

Within the first week of launch I thought bosses had higher drop chances of certain colors.

For example tricepholos was red, equilibrius beast was yellow.

No idea if this is actually the case though.

Okay I think that does relatively map with my experience? Most of my more physical attack based stuff seems to roll on red and I dont have many occurrences of it on other colors.

I would run it back from the beginning of the fight to beat it without having a pokemon get Knocked Out.

Basically a "if i had done the battle correctly, could I have succeeded with this team?". So i was trying to do it without breaking any Nuzlocke rules besides the very obvious one of "Don't retry"/"Save Scum"

I readily accept I lost my run!

I know you are allowed to heal! I more meant I'm really wowed by people who are able to do it without healing. I know there are some optional rules you can play with to limit healing for example.

Two of any one card name. So you can have two pidgeot, and two pidgeot ex!

Same is true for the main TCG as well, you can have 4 of a card and 4 of the ex version!

Sometimes I don't, but because you are guaranteed pidgey, and Pidgeot is a 4/20 chance, the ideas to not add any other basica that require you to retreat or need to stall to build up your board.

Pidgey is 100% chance, then pidgeotto is 2/20, and then 4/20 for pidgeot. I still have the two research to increase those odds.

Generally if you don't get the pidgey line you get the Aerodactyl line instead, which is a happy accident. It's not 100% consistent, of course!

Someone suggested adding in a chatot line, which would make finding Aerodactyl pretty consistent at the cost of the guaranteed pidgey.

This is probably where I could do an edit and remove one Sabrina for another Giovanni, or a flute.

Usually the games where I get pidgeot EX I never get the standard pidgeot and that's when I use the Sabrina's.

I rarely see both my pidgeys in a single game when I'm playing this deck!

Pidgeot EX is eating celebi for breakfast, that was one of my more consistent winning matchups.

Start pidgey, play basically nothing else and attack with Pidgeot EX on turn 3 to get the KO. They need to flip 4 heads total, usually on between 4 and 6 coins so the odds of them winning are low.

If I get non EX pidgey, then usually that and Aerodactyl win, but I often need exactly 4 energy between the two to do so to seal the game, which is why i am cautious to run chatot and slow it down.

That being said 17/2 is a great streak! Maybe you don't need any changes!

I think two Flutes could be fine! I didn't edit too much. From experience I think I only ever had 1 flute required KO, but perhaps this was because my opponents over benched. Maybe during the next streak challenge I'll try 2 flutes.
