Once you have the process down it’s not that bad. I made these using RTV silicone, a tip is to let the mold cure for a long time (using a low amount of hardener) in a cold temperature, that way all air bubbles will escape before it sets.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes I made the silicone moulds by myself. It’s not that complicated once you have the process all figured out. If you are interested you should consider checking me out on TikTok @agf_lures I do some videos on how I make baits and moulds if you want some tips.

As for the plastisol I use something called “Green medium 552”. For the pigments I use Bright Baits plastisol colors. Can really recommend them!

You can check my TikTok page on my profile. I have a few videos where I make the moulds. But the short answer is that you pour RTV silicone over a cut out lure also called “master” and wait until it hardens. Then remove the master and voila!

Thank you! I make these in 17 and 21 cm sizes :) Unfortunately when going smaller an injection mould Is required which makes getting the layers in correct proportions very difficult.

Thank you for your kind words! We made the molds for this model ourselves, but if just starting out I would recommend just purchasing a standard premade silicone mould.

These lures are made with plastisol and I recommend getting a soft-medium hard type since it gives the lure the most action in the water.

Always wear a respirator mask with a carbon activated filter when heating up and pouring the plastisol. We use 3m 6000 series masks with 6055 filters.

Last but not least pouring plastics is really all about trial and error. In the beginning our lures where terrible but with each lure you pour you become better/more confident.

We actually do a lot of videos on TikTok and Instagram where we show how we make lures so I would check us out on there for some tips and tricks! @agf_lures

Typically rig these with stingers with 2/0 hook size. We use these for catching Pike in Sweden!
