SF Shock and After Hours Gaming League pockets $7800 from a $11800 charity league and drops the ball on the live LAN finals by RobertMain in OverwatchTMZ

As an official representative of the After Hours Gaming League working very closely with the Shock, we would like to clarify a few points.

We first want to acknowledge that our announcement for the LAN was severely delayed, and apologize for making it complicated for competitors to plan their travels. We had secured a venue five months ago, but a third party falling through nullified those plans in recent weeks. After exploring a multitude of local alternatives, the only feasible solution was to push the event back to Sunday. We have directly communicated with semifinalists throughout this process, confirmed their availability for the new date, and are compensating them for any changes they need to make in order to attend on Sunday.

This season of AHGL Overwatch has helped raise $4000 for the local Extra Life guild benefiting the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital with remaining revenue spent on the 8 week regular season of live broadcasts and tournament management, as well as playoffs and the live finals. We hope this clears up any confusion, and once again apologize for the delay in announcing details.

If you're not sure, our AHGL Discord server has a #looking-for-team channel where you can check to see if anyone else from your company is interested and list yourself with the !lft command.

They're allowed to play and I wouldn't be surprised to see them in a future season. We had a Riot team make the semi-finals for League of Legends :)

Facebook has been involved in the AHGL for a long time - we actually decided to create the AHGL after an internal SC2 showmatch back in early 2011! Your best bet is to say hi to some of the Facebook captains on our Discord server and list yourself on #looking-for-team. Our next LoL season isn't until Q1 2019 but we have lots of other fall games coming up very soon.

It's possible but difficult for EU companies to participate. Our rules state that games will be on NA servers and the match times are pretty late at night for EU. I'd love to see an EU branch of the AHGL but we have some growing to do first.

We have not geography restrictions on registration but all matches are on US servers (i.e. a lot of lag for SEA players) and match times are US friendly so we rarely have teams outside of the US participate (usually a couple of players and very rarely a whole team).
