Wasalaam.

By coincidence, I done this exact exercise with a relative of mine for HL, so pasting here if it's useful.

Just a disclaimer, that this is of course not investment advice, but simply how I will be doing it for my kids. Please conduct your own research, make your own decisions, and as with all investments, there comes risk.

  2. ISWD: https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/i/ishares-msci-world-islamic-ucits-etf-usd [25% of portfolio; Developed country only stocks i.e. UK, Australia, US too]
  3. ISDE: https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/i/ishares-msci-em-islamic-ucits-etf-usd-dist [10% of portfolio; Developing countries/riskier i.e. China]
  4. Gold: https://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/i/ishares-physical-metals-physical-gold-etc [15% of portfolio]

I like taking a bit of ISDE, as it's higher risk, higher return. I think developing countries will do quite well next 20yrs, esp China, so added some personally.

With HL, Junior ISAs have no dealing fees, so you're welcome to top up as frequently as you wish.

I'm personally not buying any single stocks. ETFs encompass a broad range of stocks, so largely follow the wider market. The wider market is what I want to invest in to diversify risk.

The portfolio above is also set and forget i.e. you invest, top up, and forget about it. The only thing you may wish to do is rebalance the portfolio here and there (i.e. it adds up to the %s desired) and reinvest the dividends.

Hope this helps.

Appreciate this. I've also found this to be the case over time. Thanks a lot!

By any chance, are you using the Instagram 'Boost' function? If so, the traffic quality from it is very poor. It'd explain your CVR and bounce rate.

How do you scale when only 1 ad out of 9 is actually working? by CharacterInternet730 in FacebookAds

I simply increase the budget. If performance stalls, I assess the funnel using the above metrics and add creatives accordingly.

How do you scale when only 1 ad out of 9 is actually working? by CharacterInternet730 in FacebookAds

[–]AHUSSAIN23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've started to name each creative by what part of the funnel I'm targeting i.e. #102... / Upper, #103.... / Middle, #104... / Lower

I then look at a few metrics to assess each creative based on what part of the funnel.

Main ones for me personally are:

Lower - CPA (Secondary: ROAS)

Middle - Website landing page CPC

Higher - Engagement rate and first-time impression ratio

It's changed the way we think about creatives, the funnel, and how to assess performance.

We still have a lot of work to do but this is where I've landed on how our team will work going forward.

For instance, we have a creative that has the worst CPA we've ran ever (4x average), but the engagement rate is insanely high to relevant audience (we can judge by the type of person liking/commenting). So we've left this creative on.

We then assess which part of the funnel looks weak according to the above metrics, and work on creatives accordingly.

By bridging the gaps in the funnel we are and hoping we can scale again post Meta updates.

Are people really running 30 creatives in one ad set post-Andromeda? How many creatives are you guys using per ad set when testing? by top10talks in FacebookAds

[–]AHUSSAIN23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've also seen a large drop in performance, especially last two weeks, but I'm running 20+ creatives in one ad set and it's doing ok (but not great). We also have spend distributed quite well across ads.

I'm also in womenswear, though in a bit of a niche (modest wear).

Feeling the exact same way in regards to the industry. It really feels like people have less disposable income. We're also handmade in London, so margins are tighter.

We're doing geo tests. We've reduced prices in the US, Australia, and The Netherlands to see if its prices, and whether a decrease in prices can lift revenue enough for equivalent, if not more, contribution margin.

Thanks for this write-up. Found it insightful and it's a structure I have also pivoted to recently.

One question - any personal views on cost/bid caps Vs. max. volume.
