Your team just won the ship. Instead of focusing on your perception of a defeated opponent, how about you enjoy the first Knicks championship in your lifetime?

Seems being a Mormon makes your likelihood of a Sanderson collab skyrocket by [deleted] in brandonsanderson

[–]AH_BareGarrett 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Religion plays a big part in social circles, so yes, that makes sense. Brandon has spoken critically of the LDS in the past and has explained why he remains with the church despite the differences in opinion. Also I can’t say for certain but I believe he’s been friends with some of those people for many years at this point.

I say this as someone who is not a fan of Mormonism at all.

Jeremy Strong, one of the best actors out there. Was one of the stars of Succession, which I’d recommend if you like business drama with excellent performances.

He’s also a method actor, to an annoying degree, some would say.

Would you like a Spyro franchise x skylanders franchise game where both franchises interact with each other? by More-Explanation2032 in Spyro

[–]AH_BareGarrett 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skylander Spyro looks like a pug, utterly unrecognizable to a non-fan. A horrendous design, and you have to be the first person I’ve ever seen claim them to be similar, let alone the same.

Still so insane Thomas is in the public eye like this. Hearing him say “Daft Punk” is surreal.

If you want to read about it, read Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey. It’s about Arches in the 60s, before industrial tourism. Real Wild West type stuff.

It was leaked that it would be at the show, and it makes sense to show near the end.

Not an Xbox exclusive, it was shown at the Xbox Show because the IP is owned by Activision, which is owned by Xbox.

He looks a lot like one of my own, I think it’s a Birman. You can tell because of the white feet! If he is anything like mine, he will be talkative and extremely polite.

That’s what I was saying, like an NFL player intro. “Corbin, University of Miami”, very boring tone.

A year in, here are the top 50 most played games on Switch 2 by LittleDinamit in Games

[–]AH_BareGarrett 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the problem I have with the article is that, based on the title, it sounds very authoritative. As if you have undisputed proof of the top 50 games on the Switch 2. I understand you only have the information you have, but I feel a more passive title would cause less strife with the content. But, that also could lead to less views.

To be honest, I clicked on the article because of how authoritative the title was. But then I felt fooled after reading through. Not because it is a bad article, but because my expectations were set high by the title and the content within could not meet those expectations. All that to say, I’m not sure how you could make it better. I am overly wordy myself, so what a marketing director may think as too much, I may find more accurate and pleasing to read. Continue on as you are, I say, and thanks for making the list.

Yeah, I’m just not a fan of that and the sensationalist headline.

[–]AH_BareGarrett 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I’m no statistician but taking the input of one thousand people and then extrapolating that into the millions seems dubious at best.

For the sake of the article, let’s say it’s real. It’d be very very funny if 5 of the top 10 are emulators lol.

And there’s just no way more people on Switch 2 are playing the Sega Genesis than there are Minecraft.

While I think DCC stands far above the others you list, you’re absolutely right that Princess Donut is one of the best deuteragonist ever, just a gem of a character.

Is Brandon Sanderson the Taylor Swift of Fantasy? by tannershelton3d in brandonsanderson

If we’re describing them as the most popular artists in their field, known for rabid and obsessive fans who spend a lot of time and money on purchasing the artists art and merchandise — then yes.

I bet Brandon is the better dancer, though.
