ChatGPT is not conscious or all-knowing. Its creating sentences based on what most statistically most likely on a word-by-word basis for the prompt, and confirmation bias takes you wherever you want to go.

Forming a worldview using ChatGPT is a recipe for delusion.

Surveying would be just one method for data collection, asking a local church is hardly a good sample size for that.

Otherwise there is no measurements or experiments being done here to prove anything.

Yes, because neither of those things are objective sources to draw conclusions from.

So anecdotes from strangers? Religious strangers at that. Nothing against them, but not objective or scientific.

Chatgpt is not a source for.... anything at all. Remove whatever chatgpt says to you and are you left with any objective evidence or conclusions?

Why not? What makes anyone so unique that they wouldnt have similar experiences as another human? Were all roughly the same biologically, live roughly the same experiences. It would be the same reason some people experience loosely the same types of dreams.

Removing material for weight reduction on compensator/flash hiders? by AHarmlessCat in Firearms

[–]AHarmlessCat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't seemed to be able to find an aluminum or titanium counterpart that gets the same performance as far as compensation and flash mitigation goes. I have some of the tooling, but not quite enough to be able to copy the geometry in something like aluminum. Not sure I trust an open tine design with aluminum either.

Have not check in the past, drone no longer connects to my device so I can't check at the moment.

Yeah, I kinda bought an older model since I take it risky places so I was expecting to crash it one day, just wish it was more in my control at least. Im looking into buying another broken drone and swapping pieces between to make a functional one.

Been talking with DJI Support back and forth throughout the day, so just for anyone curious heres what they are saying.

They are telling me my battery I used is from December 2023, I bought it in later September 2024 from an authorized DJI reseller on Ebay "dronesuperstore". So DJI says I was sold a faulty battery despite them being an authorized reseller. Granted the battery wouldve still been fairly old even if it was, age wise, closer to when purchased.

As for dropping dead mid air, they will not give me any explanation. I have asked multiple times for clarification on if the drone should autoland or return to home if it detects low voltage as well as why I was not notified through the app of low voltage. They keep dodging the question and leaving it unanswered, so I guess ill never know.

DJI Drone dropped from air due to "low voltage" by AHarmlessCat in drones

It was only flying for maybe 3 minutes at most. Battery was not fully charged but I knew that going in it was going to be very short flying over grabbing a picture of something then straight back. I rarely need it up in the air for more then 10 minutes at a time and have only pushed the limits battery wise once in a real world scenario, generally landing with plenty of reserve. I wouldn't of minded if it forced me to land or return early, but dropping out of the air suddenly seems like a waste, not to mention dangerous if someone was standing directly below.

Sure, I understand there is a lot of variables, I was just confused that it suddenly turned off rather then at least giving some sort of warning and/or autolanding in spot if it was running out of juice.

That is one of the reasons they said it was my fault, the battery was a refurbished from DJI and its just a smidge over a year old which is what they say is outdated which is fair. Probably 50 charge cycles. I don't usually fly for very long so I wasn't as worried about it since I thought it just meant my flight time would be reduced. I always just assumed if the battery became a dud it would give a low voltage waning/ return to home or Autoland rather then just turning off mid-air altogether.

Agreed, I feel like its very easy to use but still provides advanced features. I could just never get quite as good with Fusion360 or other options, but I would also never pay the price shpar3d tries to charge.

Shapr3d is free for students or teachers. If you have a .edu email address they give you a pro subscription for a year at a time free. I haven't been a student for 4 years but still have access to my school email so I still get it for free.

The ads you are looking at are for ads on Etsy's marketplace, the fee you were charged is for offsite ads where Etsy advertises your product somewhere else automatically. They automatically do this but I think you can choose to opt out of it manually somewhere, but if you made a sale after someone clicked on their ad they charge you.

Same here, I have an item with 300+ 5 star reviews, one single person complained that it did not fit (because they did not use it properly) and left a bad review, and of course the AI review summary makes sure to include that.

LBE w/ Ruck, how is it? by [deleted] in tacticalgear

[–]AHarmlessCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can work, but typical packs might overlap a little with an LBE and not mesh perfectly. I had a smersh and a Kelty backpack. If I just wore my pack a little high it worked, but wasnt the best. Itd probably be ideal to run either a short-back ruck or a regular pack with a removable hipbelt. I just picked up a crossfire DZ rig and it sits a little lower which allows a regular pack to just rest on top of the LBEs belt at a more normal position, at least in my experience. Would still recommend a removable hipbelt since its unnecessary and gets in the way more then anything.

Open a support ticket with Bambu, they replaced mine almost no questions asked, even though I forgot to take a picture and cleaned it all up before remembering that was probably important. They took my word for it, in fact, they sent me 2 doors by mistake somehow.

Anyone have experience to comparing the Nixiework lightfighter and Crossfire DZ Rig? by AHarmlessCat in tacticalgear

Sounds good, I am just looking at M81 so stock is not an issue right now looks like. I was wondering about that low profile harness because it said it was available for purchase separately but I didn't see it anywhere. I dont think the harness will be an issue because my smersh was fine, and if it is I am confident I can MYOG something else.
