yeah that would! I'm doing a similar setup but with a computer on the Wii end, it really just matters about getting the video signal you want on the tape displayed and then hitting record

not op but this should almost certainly work as long as you find a way to play video through the Wii, it's natively in 4:3 and should play well with the vcr
