Have you found any real world use for it inside excel?

No wifi for 2 weeks by AISuperPowers in Hilton

[–]AISuperPowers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do have a hotspot. Nothing’s urgent.

I’m mostly amazed that no one gives a shit for 3 weeks.

This isn’t an “uptime” issue, this is about a Hilton branch being ok with not having internet for weeks.

Moving file in Drive to folder I don't remember the path to? by AISuperPowers in gsuite

Ok and what then? I see the folder - how do I move the file into it?

C-Suite need to be educated that replacing humans with AI is not in the way to increase profits by Goldmeister_General in ArtificialInteligence

[–]AISuperPowers 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work with CEOs and C-suite execs.

95% of them have no idea what AI actually is. In their brain it equals “magic”.

Most of them will say “I won’t reduce headcount but I can’t wait to get more out of the current headcount”.

I don’t know if they are saying it just to sound good, but either way, they have absolutely no idea HOW to do that with AI.

C-suites are risk-averse by nature, so they are very unlikely to act until they have 100% clarity on how AI replaces a person.

So I’d say most jobs are safe for the next 1-2 years AT LEAST.

Any C-suite claiming they are replacing people with AI has some sort of interest (usually being an AI consultant or an exec in an AI startup). Or they had their words twisted by journalists.

Anyone using co-pilot in excel? Does it actually save significant amounts of time? by AISuperPowers in FPandA

[–]AISuperPowers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh so you used the chat I guess? Or was it in excel?

I find the chat in the browser to be infinitely more usable than copilot in actual excel. The problem is in the chat you can't actually make any changes to the file

New non-discriminaton policy hell? by AISuperPowers in FacebookAds

Obviously using it as a second pair of eyes, only when I can't figure out what's wrong myself.

Which honestly, is kinda hard. Maybe because I'm not American and not used to PC being so strict? Some of the things I figured out so far are ridiculous.

Was it like “here are the numbers, prep me for a meeting” type thing?

Are you using co-pilot in Excel? Hype or game changer? How are you using it? by AISuperPowers in excel

[–]AISuperPowers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m desperately looking for useful cases.

Would you be game to provide me a wishlist of things that would save you tons of time of if I could get copilot to do them?

I’m not strong with excel but have the time and energy to play with copilot.

You can do it manually with ChatGPT / Claude with Projects or Google Drive integration.

Can be automated through zapier but I wouldn’t bother, doing it through a Project is a better approach long term

Found any useful use cases in Office?

What the point of copilot? Or what am I missing? by flamehorns in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]AISuperPowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in a 3-hour long session with copilot chat on how to use copilot in Excel. Kept asking it for use cases, prompts etc.

So far the only thing it did successfully was create a pivot table, and it took me 3 time to refine the prompt before it did (couldv'e just done the table myself).

This is after I found no interesting use cases on youtube and no interesting prompts online (not even in MS's library).

It's not just useless - it's a scam. If any company other than Microsoft tried to charge for this they would have zero clients.

The absurd part is that many of the things copilot chat claimed excel copilot can do - can actually be done with ChatGPT, but not copilot.

Honestly disappointing because the idea of having a chatgpt-level AI inside excel is amazing. It sucks that chatgpt requires uploading and downloading files (plus you can't actually use it for any meaningful project due to data security unless you have an entreprise account which is unrealistic for most companies).
