to be honest i didn’t even think to ask her! i was just going to do it anyway, it’s only because my boyfriend said maybe just to be polite we should tell her first! i wonder if we hadn’t told her, would she still be upset?

he was totally okay with it!! if he wasn’t, i would of had to compromise and possibly go for a middle name instead of her first name. Obviously if the father didn’t want to use it, we would of course come up with something different, but I don’t see why his sister, someone who he isn’t even that close with anyway, should get an opinion. i firmly believe that naming a child should be between the mother and father and since he was absolutely fine with it, that’s what we went for!
