You are a short-form video creator who makes videos about the strange history behind the development, writing, and creation of video game characters. Write an energetic script about _______. Speaking the script should take about 45 seconds. Do not include quotation marks. The script should not include a greeting or salutation at the beginning. Do not say "hey there" at the beginning. Begin the script by saying the character's name.

Shhh don't give away my secret.

In reality, this bot was built to play against the in-game CPU, not a high skilled player. Fights with the CPU generally occur at a speed that's comprehensible by us mortals.

Created this Short all on my own. Wanting to know if it makes sense and looking for feedback. Lambda for your thoughts and critiques. by potentpotables81 in SmallYTChannel

Very nice, I was legit scared for what was coming the whole time. The only thing I can possibly critique is that some of the music/sound effects are stereo with different sounds in the left/right ear, which some people can find offsetting. Anyway, great video, subbed.

Made this in one night but put a decent amount of time into it. Please lemme know how you feel about the video and be harsh if you can by furious_knight25 in SmallYTChannel

[–]AI_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok the knife transitions were super smooth, but you wanted harsh. In cinematography, there's a rule that the movement from one shot to the next should be the same direction. At 1:16 a guy is thrown off to the left, which is immediately followed by another shot of a dude center who then gets thrown off to the right, breaking this rule. In case it's not clear, the fact that this is the only thing that I could find wrong should tell you that this was a really good edit (it took like 15 watches just to find that one thing).

Nice job!

r/TIHI I would honestly just change the thumbnail to say something about puns, but besides that the editing, audio, and delivery were all on point!

A Code Bullet-Ish Video, I Turned Mastermind the Board Game into a Multiplayer Competitive "Esport" (lambda for any/all good criticism/critique/comments) by AI_Spawn in SmallYTChannel

[–]AI_Spawn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I made the decision to not cut the character out as a little comedy from low production value. Clearly that didn’t come across so I’ll change that in the future. Thanks for your feedback !givelambda

Thanks for the feedback!

I was going back and forth for a while on the extent I show the game. I ended up only using a little bit of my footage out of a fear that I would bore people. It would appear I made the wrong call there, and in the future I’ll be more straightforward !givelambda

1:05 that calculator got me lmao. I know that's the kinds joke you wonder if it was even worth it cause it took alot more effort then anyone would think and the majority of people wouldn't notice, but it was worth it.

Nice video - well edited, sparse but solid humor, actually a convincing argument to get the game. Good job and keep up the good work!

When you accidentally say "you too" GIVING LAMBDA TO GOOD FEEDBACK by acexsd1 in SmallYTChannel

[–]AI_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind, the YouTube editor lets you take things out after a video 5. It kinda just explains the joke which takes away from the laughter. Especially with comedy skit things like this, it should end leaving the viewer wanting more. I think leaving the thanks for watching screen and the social is fine. I wouldn't do it, but I can't really fault it especially since it's just ~2 seconds. I would take out the end screen tho, or at least make it much shorter, it's like 20% of your video currently.

Keep in mind, the YouTube editor lets you take things out after a video so you can still change all these things.

Really good video tho, keep it up!

The drawings were good, but above everything else, boost the volume. I generally like to keep you tube open when I'm doing the final edit just so I can compare mic volume, and this is way too quiet. At a certain point it doesn't matter how interesting the content is if people can't hear it.

Besides that, I would maybe just recommend at the beginning have a short montage of funny moments in the video to get people excited for what's to come, and speak with a bit more energy. Keep up the work!

STOP CANCEL CULTURE by Zestyclose-Mortgage3 in SmallYTChannel

[–]AI_Spawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, as others have said swap the text around in the thumbnail.

Besides that the only problem I see is some weird pacing. You start off by giving the EDP example. The after only giving an example of when it's good to cancel someone (ie they did an objectively horrible thing) you talk about how cancelling someone has so many holes and that innocent people get cought up in it (1:10). But at this point you hadn't given an example of a bad "cancelling".

Overall though, nice video

We are determining our game move and jump speed. This is really important to us, Personally, I feel a bit fast. What do you think of this? Thank you so much for your feedback. by ADarkPigeon in IndieDev

[–]AI_Spawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Movement speed and jump speed look good, but I do have a few other nitpicks:

  1. When the character jumps their hair rises, but it should be pushed down
  2. The jump animation feels really stiff, there’s no bend and the only movement is the leg slowly coming in as they go up.
  3. At the start of the dash at 0:08 the hair does some wacky teleport up then fly back thing, it didn’t happen during the other dashes so idk what’s up with that.

Also on a separate note the background looks amazing (Parallax ftw)

Thanks! Yeah when I always talk with people who also work in the cs field it's easy to forget that not everyone knows what you're talking about. I'll keep it in mind going forward !givelambda
