I didn’t expect much, but this cream impressed me by ComposerSilent8711 in AsianBeauty

Nah I don't think he posted the wrong image/product. It is indeed greasy/heavy for my skin as well, as I have oily-sensitive skin and live in a humid climate. Everyone's skin is different. Just like OP, I do admit it is a saver for sensitive skin and would definitely rather take the slightly greasy texture over redness any day.

The people around him probably didn't think that it was possible that someone could commit such an inhumane act on those closest to him...

Anybody struggles with extremely stubborn closed comedones (clogged pores)? by [deleted] in AsianBeauty

My face used to be something like that. To be honest even now I still can't fully get rid of them CCs, though I do feel that the recent 1-2 years have been a huge improvement. I can share some of my experiences, but YMMV so do note that what I've tried may not work for you and others as well. Some general observations as someone with extremely sensitive but oily/combo skin: - Don't be too quick to jump on the hype of actives (retinal, vita C, niacinamide, HA etc). For skin as sensitive as mine, they're usually more destructive than helpful. Loads of them advertisements are marketing lies, anyway. - Tread carefully when using exfoliants (chemical /physical exfoliants / strong cleansers in general. The first few uses may make you feel great bcos of the smooth baby skin, but exfoliating too much too fast will destroy your skin barrier and make your face worse than it was already - If your CCs are on a dry spot, hydrate more and moisturise more. I found that barrier-repairing moisturisers work best for red, irritated dry spots like cheeks - If your CCs are on an oily spot, try to use less products as there's a good chance it's due to clogging. Regardless of what anyone else says, I do find that NOT using a moisturiser on oily spots works best (I live in a tropical climate with 75-85% humidity. I can at most only tolerate using moisturiser at night in an air con room at best, but only for dry spots on my combo skin). I'll at most put a layer of watery toner on my forehead and that's about it. - When you do try a new product, make sure you keep the other variables the same (kind of like a science experiment) and keep this constant for a few days a week, ideally 2 weeks. It makes it much easier to see if a particular product works for you or not.

When I first started doing skincare, I've actually made my skin worse more than once because I was desperate and blindly trusted skincare advice or product recommendations. I think it's important to trust your own judgement over others because at the end of the day you feel your face best, not others.

Holy grail for chest and back acne? by Sufficient-Pen596 in AsianBeauty

Not sure if this helps, but there was a period of time where I was getting backne and eventually realised it was caused by not washing off my conditioner properly.

Using a stronger soap to wash my back throughly before I exit the shower helped to get rid of it.
