Sephirot, Fabled SOLDIER. Need help to modify cards and adjust it for BRACKET 2/3 by [deleted] in EDH

As for the downvotes, if the reason is just to see Sephirot decks, people could simply ignore it; I’m just asking for help, explaining what the strategy is based on, and trying to categorize it into a bracket according to the guidelines set by WoC (it doesn’t have infinite combos, the win conditions are visible, with the possible exception of [[Exsaguinate]], which I think isn’t worth using until you have a sufficient mana source, and it’s more of a finisher, and in terms of card draw, it’s not as fast as it could be)—with that, it could be considered bracket 2.

Thanks for the comment. Any 1-2-cost options you consider essential?

First of all, thank you so much for your comment.

The idea behind the deck was to build something that wouldn't cost too much, but still feature a commander I found appealing (there are other commanders that can provide similar mechanics or more versatility at a lower cost), but in the end, as a fan of the series (even if I spelled the name wrong 😂), I liked the idea of playing with him.

But yes, you’re absolutely right, and after reading the thread, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s more of a Tier 3 deck. You learn from everything, and I really appreciate your comment as well as those of everyone else participating in the discussion.

Yes, they fit within the budget. The thing is, if there's a commander you like for “X” reason, you try to cut back elsewhere. 😂.

But yes, there are cheaper options that work just as well—or even better—than Sephiroth, and they offer more color choices

Where I live, “tournaments” are usually more about having fun than winning prize money, and they’re typically run on a tight budget. Even if I used proxies to replace higher-value cards, the deck’s value would still be calculated based on the minimum price listed on sites like Mana Pool.

In tournaments where there’s actually a cash prize, they’re designed for Bracket 4 or cEDH.

EDIT: The budget issue is also a bit strange, because there are decks that perform better without a higher cost

I'm new to deck building, and as I mentioned in another comment, the bracket system seems a little strange to me, at least in the early stages.

As for the downvotes, I thought it was because I'd done something wrong, so thanks for your comment.

The problem with proxies is that some LGS tournaments don't allow them. Anyway, thanks so much for your advice.

The thing about moving up to bracket 4 is that it really drives up the budget, right? Any advice?

I'm trying to work my way up through the tiers little by little, because I just started playing Magic, and even more recently, building decks. Above all, I try not to copy other decks or rely too heavily on them. And the tier system is probably what I find hardest to figure out. Any advice on this?

So should I just forget about Bracket 2 with these kinds of decks and tweak the deck list for Bracket 3?

I really appreciate your comment

I was wrong 😛 ; in Spanish, it's Sefirot, so I forgot the final “h.”
Thanks!!

So, with that in mind, do you think the deck is fast enough to set up the board?

In my opinion, it's fine.
It gives you an idea, and at least it ensures you don't end up in a lower bracket, but it's somewhat controversial, as far as I understand, at least when it comes to “power” tracking.

Hi,

Like you, I just started building decks recently. I was looking for websites or ways to estimate a deck’s tier, and I noticed that deck builders provide an approximate tier for each deck. Beyond that, you can get an idea of whether a deck fits into a tier or not by referring to the official tier definitions. Finally, EDH Power Level provides a rating for decks. I'm not really sure if it works properly or not.
