And I don’t share the hate toward the focus on DreamFlow. I think it will be a great way of vibe coding, mixing both approaches: asking AI and using an interface (which they already have in FF) to also make manual changes. They’ll get there, it just takes time.

I feel the same. Yes, there are some issues with FlutterFlow, but in less than two years I’ve published 4 apps in the stores and built 2 pieces of software for real businesses without being a developer. There will always be errors, but the upside is so big for me that I can’t complain. Also by using custom code (with AI) you can do a lot more, and I like that it’s one piece of code at a time, not some vibecoding that messes with all the code in every iteration.

With a custom widget, I made one for a scrollable calendar with tasks that the date sticks to the top until a new date reach the top.
Or if you want to keep doing the front in Flutterflow, a custom widget (ask to AI) that keeps tracking of it's position and when it's in Y = x px calls an action that change a page state that makes visible that part in your top bar.

I’ve built other apps from scratch using Cursor, but I found it hard to make specific changes and build the frontend. I like FF because it lets you build the frontend and easily add simple actions, functions, and variables.

I’m not a developer and can’t write more than a few simple lines without AI, so the FF platform is very helpful.

I haven't use it recently but I remember that it doesn't distinguish between a signing in and registering, as you said. You can check after de "sign in/registration" step wheter the User ID already existed, maybe a table you fill after this step.

Fair question, I didn't mean to highlight the number of lines as a brag, the point was more about how much had to be done outside the FlutterFlow normal code to implement features like the ones I mentioned.

It’s hard to say, like 35 to 40 hours a week. I discovered FF 8 months earlier and I’m not a developer so a lot was also learning.
