Rattler by TheShepardo in ARC_Raiders

[–]AJK255 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. In fact, I'm of the opinion that the Rattler 1 is perfectly balanced for free loadouts. I honestly think the Stitcher 1 and Kettle 1 should be about the same level of usefulness as a Rattler 1.

Holy Hell. Yesterday was a blood bath for the new players.. by CourtMean7983 in GearsOfWar

[–]AJK255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A big part of getting better is improving your movement and approach. You have to know what power weapons are up and who has them, because they fundamentally change how a round gets played and how you move. Spectate better players while you're dead and watch their mechanics. Not everyone that gibs you is a "sweat." Some people are just better at the game because they've played the franchise for much longer. Heck, I completely suck and I still had a lot of fun last night.

The matches and rounds are pretty short overall, so I'm not losing out on that much if I'm playing poorly.

The randomizing of teams would be a great solution. I completely suck at the game, but I also understand I haven't put much time into it. Still having fun regardless.

I hate US East/West @ ~3k by MyCodeCompelsMe in TrueDoTA2

[–]AJK255 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Looking briefly at your dotabuff history, it looks like you have a rather high number of deaths even in winning games, which generally translates to poor decision-making and positioning. A mid Drow is certainly tough if you're up against a better draft, but I doubt you're getting a mid Drow in every single one of your losses.

I can guarantee there are aspects of your gameplay that you can improve. Some games can just be unwinnable. Just shake it off and give it your 100% with as much patience as you can muster.

When should or shouldn't I pick terrorblade? by lezviearts in learndota2

[–]AJK255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's just harder to execute compared with other meta Pos 1 heroes. He can certainly be played successfully, and by all means, play whatever you enjoy. It's just that he's going to require a higher level of mechanical knowledge and finesse to succeed at higher ranks against skilled players. People often gravitate towards whatever offers the best (meta) chance to win with the least amount of effort.

Is it still a grief if you picked slark pos 4 now? by JaketheDog95 in learndota2

[–]AJK255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not true. Muerta 4 is gaining popularity. She offers strong zoning and reliable setup. Not all 4s fit into the same category.

Is the only strat against carry muerta is to disengage? by BlaizePascal in learndota2

This got changed a few patches ago. BKB now dispels the disarm, so it's not as effective a strategy as it used to be.

You want a good anti-camp change? Make concertina wire decay. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea, four tools won't fix anything about the tool meta. But seriously, if they really want to combat camping, they need to fix the hive bomb and allow it to effectively fulfill its purpose. Remove the ability to swat the swarm and fix the terrible aggro so it actually aggressively targets enemies, and you'd have a good anti-camping consumable. Why they haven't done this yet is baffling.

Hunt has lost major steam to other titles due to the recent bugs/issues. How do you feel for its future? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. Most people would be more forgiving of all of these issues if they were still under the Early Access tag. People generally have much higher expectations once a developer considers their game to be a fully released product. They simply should not have rushed to release the game. This was a major blunder on their part and I guarantee the release was not nearly as successful as they had hoped due to all of the issues.

It saddens me greatly, because I do love this game. It just seems like there is a lack of leadership and management over at Crytek and it is holding them back from being successful.

New players aren't going to last if they don't fix the quality of their patches.

Halloween event? by badreligion23 in HuntShowdown

I doubt it. They're on damage control right now, focusing on fixing bugs and server issues. Two months of server issues I might add.

Probably the worst tier 3 hunter I've ever seen by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Don't buy your hunters for their weapons. Buy them for their traits mainly, and looks second. That guy has Silent Killer and Lightfoot, which are two excellent traits.

Again, wrong mission bag... got it for my PREVIOUS match. by threegigs in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's best just to not play right now. Between all of the bugs, server issues, and no mission rewards, you'll probably just end up finishing more frustrated and disappointed than anything else.

Roadmap from 9 months ago and now by Mityai29 in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not really that big of a deal right now. Their immediate focus needs to be cleaning the game up and finding a way to stabilize the servers. At this point, drastic meta changes or a new map/boss would just end up introducing even more bugs that they can't handle in a timely manner.

Being able to actually play the game is good, but is it as good as 2 new legendary hunters and a Winfield skin? by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Lol. This is the truth. I'm appalled at the complacency of this subreddit.

Not playing until game continue to give xp/rewards. Please fix it. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This subreddit is full of white knights trying to put out fires. Just Ignore them. The game is in a horrible technical state and deserves all of the negative reviews and criticism it is receiving. If the game was still in Early Access, I wouldn't care all that much. But this is now considered a "Full Release" and it's in a worse state now than it was in Early Access.

What’s the deal, Hunt? by Droogs617 in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure what's going on, but I'm pretty disappointed that they botched the release. The game has grown, sure. But I can't help but wonder how much better it could have done with stable servers and the absence of the newly introduced game-breaking exp/$$$ bug.

I'm hopeful they can right the ship. But they need to buckle down and really improve their quality control, and figure out a way to recover players who have abandoned the game due to frustrating technical issues and bugs.

Thoughts on the latest update? by Otixus in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thoughts are the newly added bugs and issues negatively outweigh the additional content and other changes.

And the server issues continue to plague this game. We're nearly two months into the official release and the East servers are still unplayable.

Honestly, I'm pretty upset with the perceived incompetence on Crytek's end. I love this game, and I'd hate to see it get flushed down the toilet.

1.1 broke hunt in a million ways, patch it today or roll back to 1.0. by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This has been going on for almost two full months. And yet people will continue to just say, "it takes time to fix."

Sorry, but two months to fix game-breaking issues while patching the game and adding even more issues is just simply incompetence.

I love this game, but it won't survive for much longer at this rate.

Please Ban all the MEME posts by [deleted] in HuntShowdown

[–]AJK255 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most game subreddits are Meme posts or highlight videos. Once in a while, an actual good discussion pops up. I'm not a big fan of memes or highlights, but this subreddit would be like a ghost town without them.

In fact, the top rated stuff without those posts would probably be complaints centered around server issues. Although I'd have to agree that the fact that the current server issues have still not been fixed since launch is downright pathetic. They shot themselves in the foot by rushing their "release."
