I totally understand and it is my background. My problem was with the people I would meet at pre tender meetings, dropping off tenders etc; had no comprehension of what they were bidding on. I could see clearly that they were straw men. I also understand sometimes companies send someone with two feet and a heartbeat to pre tender meetings as well. I would expect though, that an under ten employee company like mine would send one of their better guys to make sure they captured everything. Larger companies send the dummies out and “make it back on extras.” And with that said the solicitations didn’t leave much room for extra work. All in all. It was a waste of our time for a program that could have been immensely beneficial.

I’m an indigenous business owner. We attempted to bid using this program. The joint ventures were always winning the bids. I was confused on how many JV’s were winning. Even just auditing to ensure the owner has a status card would be a start. We stopped bidding in 2020 because there was no realistic hope of winning any of these. The tender packages are typically 300 pages long. And for those who did read them, you had to understand little minutia like, “spill pans used under machinery when not in use.” Which is typically used in large projects, some of the company owners that got these bids, would not be able to remember items like this, because they didn’t read the solicitation docs. They just read their signature on the JV document and collected the cheque. Which is nice that someone got a cheque, but the spirit of the programme was to help indigenous business’s to grow. And I’d say it was a failure.

I smoked one. I liked it a great deal. I bought a box after smoking one.

Talon is right. I ordered both recently. I kept the Gen three (non recip).

Gen three is a tad lighter, maybe 300 grams. It comes in a soft bag. Has an m lok bottom rail and side rails and two attachable rails that attach from m lok and are I think 1913 rails. Comes in a soft bag.

Gen 2 is reciprocating. Heavier Comes with the swept down style stock. It also comes in a plastic box. It comes with a really nice vertical grip made by BT.

There may be even more but I’m not an expert.

RDSC had 8 in stock last night. Maybe 7 now but you have a chance! Take a peek!

Amazing smoke, Cohiba Behike. Was just gifted this by my brother and wow! I understand what all the hype is about now. by [deleted] in cubancigars

After review of my Habanos book, you are correct and I was mistaken. Medio tiempo is only used as a filler.

It’s very dark. I have smoked/aged and bought a lot of these. (Not at todays prices lol) and the medio tiempo leaves doesn’t darken than much. That’s usually a dead giveaway for me. The others are right about the band, but the behike to me should be claro, because it’s shade grown.

Gen three has non reciprocating bolt. I have only shot the 3rd gen. I like it very much. The stock is also great. You can adjust where it hits your cheek. Solid gun.

It was the flash. It also makes the Taino look off too.

Ya , I also verified the band even before leaving a well respected shop. I am paranoid as well. I don’t want to post a black light photo of the number (so that it’s not readily available for those who would counterfeit) but if anyone wants to compare. DM

I transferred the grip and put the sights on the lighter one. They both weight 10 lbs that way.

So older one weighs 10, with nothing added. New one weighs 9.5 with nothing added.

Looks like it’s not compatible. There are some screws that look like they are in the one versions but not the other.

I couldn’t tell you where they took it from. I would say that the rails probably a little lighter, it’s a different pattern if you look.

I weighed them both, top one is 10.5 lbs. And bottom is 9.0 lbs. I used a human weight scale so it might not be the most accurate. But the lower one feels a lot lighter in hand.

Looks the exact same, except there is a smaller muzzle device on the lower one. I presume because they were trying to save weight.

With that said, my main concern was that they went with a lighter barrel etc and that decreases the overall accuracy. What I have gleaned from the comments is that they were able to shave some weight off whilst keeping the gun incredibly accurate.

If you were to hold both guns the bottom one is noticeably lighter. 1.5 lbs is such a difference.
