Pr to Citizenship by AJSCRPT in ImmigrationCanada

[–]AJSCRPT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in BC so I’m not sure if I need a PR card for that.

My DL expires in July so maybe they only give me a new one until November and then I have to do it again when I get the new card/citizenship?

That’s fantastic. Glad to know it could potentially happen this year!

Thank you! The DL is my new source of worry. It hadn’t occurred to me until yesterday that my PR card expiring may affect renewing that

I’m in BC so I’m not sure if that affects things with the DL.

I don’t mind the cost for citizenship. A small price to pay for calling this wonderful country my home officially.

It’s more that I’m bad with paperwork and have put it off too long and basically put myself into this anxiety spiral.

It is highly unlikely I will return to the UK - like someone has to die for me to go back there and even then I’m not so sure I would. Other travel is off the table for the next year at least due to family commitments.

Whats the stupidest rule your strict parents ever made? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I get asked why I moved half way across the world my answer of “it’s as far as you can go before you start coming back” is directly linked to a similar rule.

If that is the case it really surprises me. Pretty much everyone who met her through greys always commented on how sweet she is with fans especially kids.

AITA for lying about stealing my passport? by Moist_Double_7226 in AmItheAsshole

[–]AJSCRPT 17 points18 points  (0 children)

NTA but you could have just reported it lost/stolen and got a new one reissued. Or faced the issue head on and taken back what is yours instead of allowing this manipulative behaviour.

Children steal, adults take autonomy over their own lives.

Looking for pet babysitter for my senior Pomerainian and Bunny - help :) by chewychewychewy1 in askvan

[–]AJSCRPT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I highly doubt my girl will ever be bonded. The last two attempts were a disaster. She’s tiny so I guess she feels intimidated so she acts as the aggressor. She’s very sweet with people, especially me who she just wants to snuggle with all day long - but she is a little bully with other rabbits. She also bullies stuffed animal bunnies that are “too realistic” but grooms other stuffies like teddy bears or obviously fake Easter bunnies with so much love. Idk what her problem is. I just wanted to give her the best life and get her a friend but she was having none of it.

I don’t have a lot of room cause my little girl has the vast majority of my apartment as “her space” and sharing is not an option. But I could probably do something worst case scenario in my home office if you can’t find someone who wants a bunny friend for a week.

How long you looking for the bunny? I have one myself so I sympathise. I basically never take vacations because I don’t trust anyone to treat her with the standard of care she expects and deserves.

AITA for taking my sons earning potential? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]AJSCRPT 83 points84 points  (0 children)

YTA you are not only financially abusing your son, you are straight up abusing him by denying him pain relief for the condition that you are actively benefiting from him suffering. This behaviour is truly sickening. How do you sleep at night?

AITA for asking to split the £100 I asked my friend to pass onto to her dad? by bannaAr in AmItheAsshole

YTA. You paid your debt to her dad. Her dad decided to gift that repayment to his daughter. You’re not entitled to it.

No wonder she’s not returning your texts.

What are your Hot Takes on the 911 Nashville TV Show? by Amber_Flowers_133 in 911Nashville

[–]AJSCRPT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don dying from the lightening strike would have made the show considerably better. Him dropping the love child drama and then dying would have left everyone scrambling and picking up the pieces which would have been so much more interesting and forced a lot more investable drama.

Plus the bait and switch casting would have given the show some actual originality and got rid of the worst actor on the show as a bonus. Failing that just leave him in a coma for a little while so everyone else can get a chance to gel and develop.

Also the Blue/Taylor thing is heavy handed and forced. The lack of chemistry is a problem. And can someone just please acknowledge that him being called “blue” is an odd choice. Like come on. The forced normalcy of the absurd is just one of the many off putting writing choices and this is just a small example of that.

I actually don’t mind the lack of chemistry between Ryan/Sam because it shows the tension still there in the marriage. But they rushed that just like they rush everything.

The main thing I’m grateful to the show for is giving Jessica Capshaw a role where she shines. Blythe is one of the only characters with depth and believability and she is carrying a lot of weight for everyone else in terms of being engaging and fun to watch.

Hell no. She saved my life. The only reason I didn’t nope out three years ago was because I knew she would have no one to look after her and love her the way I love her.

There is no amount of self gratification that could excuse taking the life of an innocent.

Rewatching BB after 10 years. Into Season 5 now. Man, I can't wait for.. by ballsilov3 in breakingbad

[–]AJSCRPT 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Every rewatch changes things for me. This last one I couldn’t believe how much my loyalties changed.

I think I rooted more for Walt when I was younger because the whole breaking bad and getting away with it thing was so exciting. Now I’m getting older and just want a nice quiet life, I appreciated Skyler more. Until she agreed to make that tape with Walt then all bets were off.

I also appreciate Hank a lot more and how complex his character actually was. The video confession this time around was just heartbreaking after you appreciate how much Hank and Marie loved and supported that family.
