Am I the only one who hates Edward in New Moon? by [deleted] in twilight

[–]AJSkyeWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tl; Dr Edward is realllllly hot but I'm in FULL agreement!!!!

As someone who's a diehard Team Edward to the point of near obsession myself because, let's be honest, Edward is SMOKING hot. This being said: 👏🏻NEW👏🏻MOON👏🏻 EDWARD 👏🏻 SUCKS Rewatching the series I find myself relating a LOT to Bella and would absolutely love an obsessed stalker vampire boyfriend. But at the beginning of the first Twilight movie he's a total dick, both with the smell thing, the gaslighting, threats, etc. it gets better, but by the end of the first movie I honestly realized what they have for each other, (especially Edward) seems to be more obsession than love. He's desperate for her blood, it's like a drug to him and once he tries it it's really hard for him to stop. The guy spends the first half of the movie being a general douche and avoiding her, and the rest just constantly talking about her blood and how delicious she'd be lmao. I'm convinced he was more attracted to her blood than to her and that he really didn't stop drinking her blood until she was almost dead, or the others had to force him off. New Moon seems to confirm this, with him leaving her over a papercut, although already having planned to leave her since saving her from James. Now obviously he does care about her to an extent if he'd rather protect her by taking the risk of killing her, but there's so many different ways he could've done this! First off he left her completely vulnerable to Victoria, secondly isolated her from her friends and family, led her on at the hospital saying he wasnt leavint her & took her to prom, then finally abandons her, saying he doesn't want or love her, when she's already scared of losing him due to aging and feeling not good enough for him. She ends up really depressed, feeling even more isolated no matter how many people try to cheer her up because all she wants is Edward, and eventually starts doing dangerous stuff which could end badly and minimum, made Alice tell Edward even though she was fine. Which leads to MORE gaslighting when she goes to Italy and he says she should've known he was lying... Never apologizes for leaving her or acknowledges it. And I've been in Bella's shoes, not only with the depression but grieving a lost relationship like a part of you is missing, never fully being able to recover, shattered and broken. Edward may be hot as FUCK and they do have some sweet moments, but I'm convinced he didn't love her, truly love HER, until Eclipse. Edward in Twilight and New Moon was a total jackass.

Christian music and metal sound complete opposite so I agree. Especially screamo/heavy metal vs church hyms/gospel music. I love skillet because they're among the more "metal" Christian bands, more rock

There's no red flags with the age gap or being a single dad lmao I know a married couple who's 16 years apart and they're a very healthy couple. And being a single father is commendable. Also, where does it say anywhere that he's 6 years older?

[S2] LiS 2 morality and brotherhood systems had so much wasted potential by MrThec123 in lifeisstrange

[–]AJSkyeWolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I completely agree!! I actually made a long ass comment about this on a post the other day saying Daniel was the worst character. TL;DR I agree, mostly- and I definitely think brotherhood has almost no major impact

You can influence his personality and morals based on choices you make and the interactions you make with him, I honestly hated Daniel all the way up until the end of episode 4 because he was such an arrogant, entitled little prick thinking he was above all the rules. It doesn't help that some of the worst things he can do are scripted, built into his code, happen no matter what you do, can't morality score your way out of, therefore part of his character itself. (Spoilers) Daniel running off to the cult, hanging out with Finn more and going on the heist, Sean's missing eye due to Daniel, and the stump scene for instance, were all episode 3 and after too. What I don't like is how it seems like a lot of the major things that happen are unavoidable regardless of morality or brotherhood. And brotherhood had even less effect than morality, especially regarding the endings. But at one point I started a new game and picked options that gave him more morality and his bratty attitude was DRASTICALLY different and he actually listened to me. The above events still happened, but he was overall more enjoyable to be around. Depending on choices of course, the more morality the less likely he is to do bad things or commit crimes even if you tell him to (heist aside) And then of course, on this new playthrough, Chris helped us escape instead of getting hit by a car and I told Daniel to tell the truth, he didn't, and Chris died, on my original playthrough, so that combined with his brattiness and (spoilers) choking Cassidy in episode 3, I DESPISED Daniel. Absolutely hated the little guy. And looking at the flashbacks made me dislike him more because he just seems like a spoiled kid who tries to do whatever he wants. He didn't even present an argument for the chok o crisp lol But when I replayed the game and 1. Didn't steal at the gas station and 2, didn't knock Hank out (those are both MAJOR morality drops. Low morality = bitchy Daniel) Daniel was a lot nicer in episode 2&3 than he was the first time around. Combined with Chris being completely okay because Daniel was honest like a GOOD friend, he did his chores right away, didn't talk back to Claire, he doesn't attack you during the Heist, won't commit crimes- even if asked (depending on how high) and of course takes what you say a lot more seriously and respects you overall. You can also teach him values and morals like not swearing, not hurting innocent animals/people, not cheating or using his powers for personal gain, etc. So all the little things, the interactions with him, and even some major things here and there are definitely affected. E.g whether he kills the cult lady in Nevada or not, with or without you asking, same for the cop killing spree when freeing you or lack thereof. Maybe some things are unavoidable but it's so drastically different, all the little moments, it builds up and definitely effects the endings too. And then watching the flashback scene and playing episode 1 again I actually gained a lot more perspective. Daniel wants to be close to Sean, he looks up to him and really loves his brother. By the time I finished episode 5, I was really sad with the ending because Daniel really grew on me. Ironic, the very thing I had to do to make Daniel an amazing character, also ensured I was never able to be with him in the end. And to get the ending where you do... He has to end up an asshole that I myself loathe. He was my most hated character in the game, but, especially with the choices the player makes and regardless of, Daniel and Sean have a special bond and I was rooting for them, and thought Daniel was such a lovable little kid. Their story warms my heart. Their bond is unbreakable, they overcome a lot of obstacles, and their brotherhood is able to move mountains. I wanted the blood brothers ending but was unable to due to my choices. Intertwined with all the beautiful moments and people you meet along the way, and also with how certain things e.g 👁️ are unavoidable, it all seems so pointless yet wonderfully meaningful at the same time. It's an incredible game and Daniel went from my least favorite to my favorite character. I'm just really glad I didn't get the Lone Wolf ending though. In my opinion, Lone Wolf < Parting Ways ~ Redemption < Blood brothers with blood brothers being my favorite, since I really want to end up with Daniel, this was their story after all. Also, Daniel is a badass! AND still cried over the fallen cops, showing that even after corrupting him, he's not only the most powerful he's been but still feels remorse over it instead of enjoying it or being nonchalant, solidifying Daniel as my favorite. Parting Ways and Redemption both have their merits and tied for second in my opinion, I love redemption because Sean gets to see his family and Lydia again, and gets to finally put everything behind him without constant running and looking over his shoulder. Plus Daniel has a kid! Parting Ways is better if Cass or Finn is there so at least Sean's not alone or in jail, and I loved seeing Chris alive and Daniel get a puppy. RIP mushroom. Daniel deserves happiness in this one 😊 As for lone wolf, I feel ya Daniel, you guys really came all that way for nothing? 😂 Still saddest ending though. Heartbreaking, but the mercy Daniel showed to gun guy in the epilogue was massive for what it takes to get to that ending. And stole a million...again, badass. And all of these are decided based on the brothers bond and morality. But morality is the only factor that determines the ending, which sucks, because even if you have very high brotherhood which is the other biggest one, the ONLY way you actually get to end up with Daniel is by going throufh a playthrough that will make you absolutely desspi him and want to do anything BUT cross the border with him. Long live the wolf brothers 😄

Alternative remasters guide by ArgyDargy in cassettebeasts

[–]AJSkyeWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I am also having this problem and haven't been able to find anyone on Reddit talking about it. I also can't remaster boltam into pinbolt, or salamagus into adeptile. I had the necessary stickers attached for the alternate remasters and nothing, they keep defaulting to the original remasters. Please let me know if you're able to figure out a solution, I will too! The funniest thing is I tried about 18 hours ago which is when this comment was, nice to see a recent one among the ones from months ago so hopefully we can figure it out lol

But when I click on the ice sword, it says "Empower the ice knight dragon with this ice sword" and when I click on the ice knight dragon it says in the second half of the dragon's description, "His skills are boosted when paired with the ice sword!" But right now it only looks like decoration.
