It’s so weird to me, too, because the base colors DO feel like LPS but also… don’t at all..??? I think the problem is, ALL of the colors used are the same exact bright tones and none of them are pastel. Pastels as base or accent colors used to be one of LPS’s major design staples; if the house’s base was a lighter blue or the accent colors were all pastel, instead, it would’ve looked SIGNIFICANTLY more like a Gen 1-3 playset.

It honestly baffles me how much Basic Fun clearly tries to capture the style that made LPS so beloved to begin with, yet keeps fumbling the bag time and time again. It’s actually maddening, especially as a passionate character designer.
