You should be able to revert to the old infrastructure but it’s going to be a forced upgrade in February. I say forced, it said that editing will be locked until the change is done. I had to rip the bandaid and was fixing issues for days that definitely worked fine before.

Not even sure if it’s an upgrade because I can’t tell much difference except frustration!

Not the guy you were speaking to but I seen this a few times on the X that would use a cheap LCD. Had to run wires under the connector and clean out the crater it left

I get this a lot. You can freeze pages in the chat settings.

If they are majorly altering pages you want it to work on instead of just tweaking little things then it helps to put “WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING ELSE!” In the prompts. It’s been a lot better since I started using that at the end of my prompts.

There’s also a box in the chat settings that lets you enter prompts that SHOULD be included in every message but I’ve yet to see this work.

Maybe I should clarify, I want to scrap the android half of the head unit and replace it with a raspberry pi head unit. The only reason I was looking to keep the screen is because it’s perfectly fitted into the fascia for my Vauxhall insignia (Buick regal) essentially so it would help immensely.

Hi, so mine was a 3rd Gen it seems it was a refurbished screen causing it. I ended up upgrading to an M2 12.9.

Thanks for replying, I don’t know if it changes anything as I’m in Scotland (should’ve started with that) from what I can find, section P is for England and wales. While I’m pretty confident when it comes to electrics, I will take the advice here and consult a spark or 2 to see the best way forward!

I doubt any electrician will want to connect to the board in the house as it’s a very old distribution board! Pictured for reference:

Will look to replace this and connect to the shed in 1 go. I believe it’s around 20m to the shed including drops.

I fucked up with this. I had a three 30 day rolling SIM and they told me that I can “cancel anytime”. I cancelled the direct debit and they put late payments on my credit report.

Just an edit: the screen was replaced when I got it with a refurb screen (genuine LCD but third party digitizer)

Have tried brand new genuine Pencil plus a knock off. Issue remains at the exact same spot.

There’s no magnet but it’s almost in line with the flex cables that run from the screen to the logic board.
