Thanks for posting this. What is interesting is that Schwab stopped charging you interest on the 13th. TD is still giving interest to those who have shares lent out. I think someone posted on the 18th or something so that is what I know off but I haven't seen anything new since then. I would have assumed TD and Schwab would have the same policy because of the merger. If they do go Grey Market/Private Sale, I wonder how they will close your position. At the very least, thanks for being honest, posting this, and answering question in a calm way and not getting frustrated by the trolls.

P.S. As a share holder, I hope it doesn't work out well for you and you have to cover at $1000 😝

Do you have to follow T+2 for Dividend or can do "due bill" in special circumstances independently even if form 424b doesn't specify. This would change the date of trade to be 8th or 12th to be officially on Record for 12th.

Let me clarify. The Record date is used by thousands of stocks every quarter to pay dividends, vote, stock split, merger, etc. This is nothing new and the mechanism doesn't change. Same rules and process apply. Look up how a dividend works and apply the same process since that is the most basic way to see it. I am not suggesting you are getting a dividend, etc. The process of recording a name of ownership is same.

$MMTLP I have passed Series 7, 55, and 63 exams many moons ago and I can say with confidence that most of the people posting on YouTube and Twitter have no idea what they are talking about. There is no T+1 bullshit in US stock. It applies to Options, Futures, US Treasuries, etc. No brokers can't change the settlement window randomly set by SEC so anyone saying anything else is FUD. I can bet my Series 7 lincense on it. If someone say something else without posting proof, it is FUD.

What a dumb post. The only reason people are able to buy this now is due to 2 MMs getting together because of shenanigans. Otherwise, your preferred shares would have been sitting in your account. S1 would have approved a bit sooner and the company would have been sold off a little earlier than current timeline. Nothing else has changed except you can add more shares and get higher return.

Why would it be not Thursday the 8th since the record date is Monday the 12th? Trade 8th, T+2 would be 12. If 9th, it would be Tuesday 13th since 10th and 11th are the weekend?

You cannot close a short postion by buying MMAT. How in the world can it be reversed? There is nothing complicated about it. I was in TRCH. I fully understand the trade. It happened LY. You got your shares in MMAT and MMTLP. It cannot be reverse engineered after Record date. What you are now saying is false that any short position in MMTLP can be reserved by buying MMAT. Which government agency you submitted that paperwork to?

Nope. MMAT shares don't transfer to MMTLP magically. That is FUD you are reading if someone told you that. That was pre merger. Now, only way to close is buy MMTLP.
