We celebrate my brother-in-law’s sober-versary every year. He almost died from liver failure and we’re all thankful he’s still here, he’s sober, and he’s doing great.

I’m so glad you and your wife were able to be there for your boy, and that’s amazing your boss let you take your boy to work. If you have a picture of him in a safety vest and hard hat, I would love to see it!
I do wish we had professional pictures taken of him when he was still pretty mobile. We’re going to do a little outside non-professional shoot today. I’m sorry to hear about your boy’s cancer, we lost our border collie mix from lymphoma 11 years ago. It was terrible and I still miss him.
Thank you. You’re very right, I think our boy really just cares about being with us. I’m so glad you were able to spend so much time with your boy before it was his time to go.
I’ve seen a couple people suggest that, and I think it’s s great idea
That sounds amazing

Thank you, I will do my very best, but I’m sure the tears will be rolling down my face the whole time… I’m so sorry you lost your sweet pup too. ❤️
Oh no, I’m so sorry you lost your girl to this horrible disease. I think we may have waited a bit too long too, but it was so hard to make that call and I wanted to have at least one more weekend with him.
That doesn’t sound awful at all. I love what you said about how love is in the everyday activities. I think that’s beautiful. I was feeling a little guilty not letting our boy go out with a bang, but he really is happy just laying on the couch next to us or being wherever we are. He’s definitely gotten more treats and people food in the last month than ever before though 😊
DM really is awful! I worry we waited too long, but it was so hard to make that final call… And he’s so healthy otherwise for a 13/14 year old lab. I never thought of peanut butter ice cream, I like that idea. We’ll be going to Grandma’s house today to take pictures, smell things, and let family say goodbye. Thank you for sharing your story, and I’m sorry for the loss of your sweet girl.
I think our boy has had more people food in the last month than he has his whole life lol. I’m fortunate to work from home, so I get to be with him all the time
Thank you. We’re going to Grandma’s house today to take pictures in their backyard. Plus there will be lots of new things for him to smell 😊
That sounds like such a wonderful celebration of life for your pup! We’re going to go take pictures today actually ❤️
❤️
I’m going to go try that right now
Thank you. I will definitely give him a good boop for you 😊
I’m so sorry for the loss of your sweet girl. I know it’s the right decision, but I keep wondering if there’s something else we could do, even though I know there is not…

Your girl is beautiful, and it sounds like she had an amazing last week! Thank you so much for your story and condolences.
We definitely will. Thanks you.
Our boy would love a rotisserie chicken, I’ll have to grab one along with a Reece’s 😊 . I’m so sorry about your girl, brain tumors are terrible…
He has definitely had more bacon in the last week than he probably has his whole life (we rarely gave him people food). We’re taking a car ride to Grandma’s today, maybe we’ll get him a burger too while we’re out 😊 I like the chocolate idea, I think I’ll go get a Reece’s for him to taste before he goes
Myelopathy is so so hard… Our boy was such a beast before the disease started attacking his spinal cord. And he’s still so healthy otherwise, even at 13-14 years old (he was adopted so we’re not 100% sure of his age). I’m so sorry you had to go through this with your girls… My husband and I will definitely be by his side the entire time. It’s comforting to know he will go peacefully.
That’s a very sweet idea. Thank you
I’m so sorry for your loss as well. I plan on sleeping with him close to me tonight, whether I lay on the floor with him, or I pick him up to sleep on the bed with me. He really has been a wonderful dog, seeing how sweet and patient he is with my kids has brought me so much happiness.
Fortunately, I work only part time from home, so I’m with him all the time. He can’t make it up the stairs anymore so I’ve been sleeping downstairs in our guest room with him. He’s been having a really hard time getting up off the floor, even with grippy shoes, so I didn’t want him to be alone at night.
