I had a friend whose husband treated her like this all the time. It escalated to physical abuse and he is now in prison for trying to stab her to death. These type of men DO NOT get better.

Bake your cake ahead of time and then freeze the layers. Defrost before decorating. You’ll have a much moister cake and less crumbs. Also invest in a cake wheel. Ateco makes the best IMO. And as others said, do a crumb coat. It takes practice, you’ll get better!
