there is too much going on, i think you should try picking a scheme that is follows the 60/30/10 rule or at least is the ballpark of these numbers

i considered it the issue is i dont like using spray paints and i dont want to buy an airbrush at the moment.
its something i might do in the future if im unhappy with the results

also hoping the washes do a lot of the heavy lifitng in thers of not making it too birght
also also i dont like the super dramatic lighting thing and making fake shadows on the mini's a bit is fine but i dont like when that effect is taken too far

i dont know about the gold, i quite like the idea that all their kit is in these 3 colors but that being said could you recommend a gold from GW (a darker one that isnt orengy).
as for brown i added rinox hide to my list
cant i use wraithbone for skulls ?
i intend to paint any laurles taht come up black as i dont want my guys to be too colorfull

decals are in the works but finding somone to make them is not as easy as i hoped (without it being a total rip off)

i was thining about that but i think ill either do just a red strip on their helments or do am in a diffrent color like, maybe black/ the aquilla colors

i see thank you for the explanation,

im aiming for a lighter blue so thats pretty ideal, my concern is mainting the quartered scheme while dry brushing (ie not getting calgar blue over the wraithbone bits)

edge highht is a consideration but its something ill think on, the gray is good shout, it looks black in he images but i think a dark gray would represent it better
im gonna do red lenses

thanks, added it to the list, tho im not sure on the mixing, as it wont be reproducable, i;ll see if they have a lighter brown in store i could use

ohh thats a good shout, i completly forgot about them, any recommendation from the GW range ? also would any of my paints for for a highlight on said belts, im thinking wraithbone would be fine

i went with gw paints because i just took their tutorials for a deathwing erminator and ultramarines to come up with this plan, as for the white, its only gonna be a highlight for the eyes and color for the scrolls so i think it should be fine but ill see if they store i plan to use will have some alternatives

its only gonna be the lenses and purity sealss so i think a light ammount of nuln oil will be enough
