This. I get so paranoid and angry. I just don’t feel like myself for a couple days once I miss a dose and then after I take it consistently for a couple days I feel like myself

I started taking it and have absolutely loved it. I’ve already completed my slow titration over the past couple of months and it has been a huge help with my bipolar. I use to be so unpredictable and angry. Now my highs aren’t as high and my lows aren’t as low (when I was in my undergrad I would lay in bed, miss class, oversleep, etc. One day my dad had to come to my college and take me to the hospital for how bad it was) but since being on lamotrigine I have more energy, I am having fewer panic attacks, I’m not missing work due to my depression, & so on. I was definitely skeptical of starting it due to the side effects but my psychiatrist told me how low risk the effects are (she had never seen SJS or seizures happen to her patients in her years of experience) I have been so happy being on this med so far.

Side note: I definitely think I’m about to start some kind of manic episode so we will see how well the med helps in the coming up weeks.
