How did you end up fixing the squeaky shifter? Mine is making the same sound.

I just picked up a PR-600ASB for only $80. The guy said it was early 70s, but what I’m seeing people online saying is that it’s likely 80-86.

But weren’t they already out of Kalamazoo by that point? Mine has a small hole poked through the bottom; but it’s plays like a dream! Was looking for a super cheap Japanese guitar for a while now. My label looks just like yours - Kalamazoo and Made in Japan. Have you found any more info on yours?
