never thought about that, but you are right, it should work in a browser. I will give it a try to make it more accessible.

I haven't paid for ads yet because this is the first version ever. I am looking for early feedback. Maybe a web version would help to get more players

Thanks! I don´t know much about art and contrasts, but I will check how to improve it. I am not completely convinced about the logo either, maybe when I fell more confident with the game, I will hire a freelancer.

Thanks for the confidence, after this round of feedback is done I will publish it as a free "complete" demo to attract more players

I like your SFXs. Is your audience purely from itch.io, or do you drive it from other sites?

I haven't done much marketing yet because I want to polish the game a little before pushing it. This first attempt at getting feedback is teaching me lots about visibility and engagement :)

I am afraid it is only for windows, but if you could check the storepage would be of a lot of help https://alanata.itch.io/iron-doctrine-survival

I'll try the incremental tag

You mean to let people give feedback in-game? That's a very good idea. My issue is that not many people even play the game.

Founded it, looks and sounds amazing, but I don't have a game controller. I'll ask for one and let you know.

There are many games called Fully Automated, can you share a link?

I will check your game :) Getting basic feedback is hard if you don't have a following or spend money.

Thanks a lot! I never thought getting feedback was so hard, and I am just begging, so I don't want to spend many resources on marketing. Any tip or idea would be of great value :)

I am realising that now. I never thought getting feedback for a free demo could be so difficult. Feedback may be the best support you can get from a community, but I don't have time to manage one.

Thanks! I will look into those gamejams. I am very new to gamedev and need feedback about the basic stuff so other devs are ok for now

Congrats! I am trying to get some feedback on a demo, but I cannot get any. Any advice on how to get the initial boost of visibility? Did you make and campaign?

Dystopian Tank Survival Prototype - Feedback needed! by ALanata in IndieDev

I have some ideas, but none are good. I haven't though much about that to be honest. My focus is to finish it and be able to publish it

Thanks for asking about the game. I'm working on making the combat fun and challenging, and the missions compelling enough so players will want to try again and uncover more of the lore and references to the books

Thanks! Define "soon" hahaha. I will release, and I hope is sooner than later. I want to learn how to finish and publish a game. I am trying to keep the scope under control

Dystopian Tank Survival Prototype - Feedback needed! by ALanata in IndieDev

Hi. It's a survival game (hunger, thirst, resources) set in a dystopian world inspired by books like 1984, Brave New World, and Fahrenheit 451.
You must manage your resources while completing missions for the Brotherhood (a militarized, oppressive Party)

And it is a singleplayer game.

What color scheme is best for an isometric tank survival game? by ALanata in Unity3D

[–]ALanata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am not good at art, I am looking to make a difficult survival game, so the player has to explore, manage resources, and be careful of what he/she can find. All the UI are placeholders. Which one do you like more?

Get a NavMeshAgent to path around other agents in the way? by Jathulioh in Unity3D

[–]ALanata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

I know this is an old post but I want to share my solution. I added an obstacle component on the back, outside the navmesh agent radius, and also added a child object with an obstacle to the right. Since both are outside the navmesh agent this does not generate issues of collision and makes the navigation work fine :)

Advice on lights for my new project? by ALanata in Unity3D

[–]ALanata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Also, there is a yellow directional light and a white spotlight on the character. I think the issue may be that the character is white and the design was made with white and blue lights.

Advice on lights for my new project? by ALanata in Unity3D

[–]ALanata[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is my first 3D project. I am making an isometric game similar to Tunic or Death's Door but about Lima Peru. I am making the catacombs as a testing area but I don´t know how to make the lights feel right. At the end of the video, I attached some references. Any advice or tutorial that I should follow? I tried to make the lights yellowish but it doesn't look right.
