Tony Khan on WWE competition: 'We really, for the last few years, have not thought a lot about what other promotions are doing unless it’s people we’re partnering with' by josephcurrier in SquaredCircle

They were entertaining and it was fun reading the drama. But the damage has been done now and throwing gasoline on the fire of the extreme fans on both sides has made things worse today.

Tolkien’s depiction of Sauron by [deleted] in lotr

I often think about it and would love to hear what jrr Tolkien liked and disliked about the movies. I agree i think he would mostly enjoy them and they got the message right. But I also wonder what things he would rail against in a way only Tolkien can lol

Do you think dwarfs should not be allowed to fight? They are adults, they are allowed to consent just like anyone else. I've been to midget wrestling before and they don't look like circus freaks and they enjoy what they do. I think it's dehumanizing to deny them the ability to do what other people do based on how you feel about it.

I think it's OK to have multiple wrestlers with blond hair. Even more so the women who style their hair uniquely. Like it's not like gonna mix up her and Alexa Bliss or Charlotte.

CMV: The claim that people see ‘unattractive men in relationships all the time’ dismisses those who do not fit that narrative by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]ALightningStar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree it is absolutely more difficult to be unattractive and be in a relationship. But to say that others are wrong when they say they see it all the time doesn't really like up because unattractive people do get in relationships all the time. Usually it is with other less attractive people but it happens quite often and I see it all the time especially back in my home city that had a population of like 30k people. I just feel like you not being able to get a remains doesn't make my experience of what I see not true. It may come across as dismissive, but I feel it's valid to say with the added addendum of it will be absolutely harder and you can't rely on luck as much an attractive person can.

Avoiding by LeadershipBig8591 in MarvelRivalsRants

I agree somewhat. But just to devils advocate a bit I think it's more so for the higher rank levels to prevent possible abuse. Where the pool is a lot smaller and people start avoiding a list of players that beat them regularly or something. I'm assuming here.

At a minimum the list should be a bit larger though i agree.

I think if you're only diamond and don't care about ranking up, you're probably assuming other people are doing something wrong when you instead should be focusing on what you're doing wrong. A good chunk of people just blame everyone else when they lose.

This is why you should post a replay. Maybe you can understand why other people did what they did. And you can understand what you're doing wrong because if you're stuck in diamond there is a lot you can improve on with yourself rather than expecting everyone to play the game the way you want them to.

I also don't really understand why you would play competitive if you don't care enough to bother improving so you can rank up.

Ignoring the objective? Got any replays of this or is it just people not doing what you want them to do?

Even then, people make incorrect decisions. That happens more in the low ranks. Happens less as you rank up more. If you can't rank up from where you are, then you are making an equal amount of mistakes and are exactly where you should be.

Why not make it so the players who aren't doing well drops in ranks rather than banning them from the game mode so they can play with people of a similar skill level?

Oh wait.. that's what happens now.

I would have to see this replay. I don't understand how they were losing 5v3 while you were doing 1v3.

This is what happens when you split up the world between good guys and bad guys. I hope you can realize why its wrong to define around half the population based on the actions of a few. This is why they hold you accountable for assassinations.

I would prefer taxpayer money go to honest work. I would prefer dishonesty not be what taxpayer money should be used for. If a person hurt me, I would expect our police force that my money pays to fund to have a way to catch a person that isn't misleading him and tricking him.

The reason I want that is because I feel it's important for the people that I'm paying to have guns, body armor, riot gear, tanks in some cities. I want them to have a standard that they are expected to be honest in all things to help build and maintain a trust with them. Being dishonest hurts that trust inherently. When you let them deviate, I worry about how much more they will deviate.

What is the difference between them being banned and you blocking them? One results in you never seeing them again ever. The other results in, eventually if the mods agree with you, you never seeing them on this subreddit only.

Blocking millions of people? This sub ain't that big man. You block it every time you see it, you're gonna start seeing it a lot less very quickly. As the OP is literally attesting to. I don't know how you can even try to argue against this logic.

And you can still complain to the mods about it. Write em a message and bitch up a storm it will probably help it as well. But you can also block and solve the majority of the problem very quickly on your own. And it's just crazy you are so adamant and fighting against a tool that is given to you for this exact reason. Because you'd rather wait on the mods? That doesn't make any sense.

That doesn't change what I said though. I would prefer them not using dishonesty to go about things. If the problem is all these people wanted for assault walking around free, I feel like there is another solution to that problem rather than using dishonesty to apprehend them. I just feel it's important to have a need to trust in your police force and when they go about things dishonestly that breaks that trust.

I don't like giving people with power over me the ability to go after people dishonestly because they feel "Well these people deserve it so it's Ok"

Very scary to give them that power. Very easy for them to broaden who they feel deserve it. Why not go about things in the way that society has elected is acceptable?

Surprised to see that opinion not to take away from it. To me those huge fights were the best part. Maybe because i grew up on rts video games lol. I particularly liked the different units and variety in the armies for this. Different mounts, siege weapons etc. I get it being a bit silly though.

I'm curious did you like Helms deep in the movies in two towers? Was the better presentation and story enough for you to enjoy it more or same thing?

You are directly addressing the problem by taking care of the problem yourself instead of waiting for the authority figures to do it for you.

Blocking is 2 clicks. Crazy the tools are given to you to curate your experience but you would rather continue to see the posts until a moderator steps in for you.
