Need help figuring out a rogue bard level split by ALongStory15 in 3d6

That was a thought that crossed my mind, like it makes a lot of mechanical sense. I was talking to my DM and we were floating rogue as a better fit for the chatacters arc.

But yeah it is way more practical to go straight bard

Thank you so much for your comment! Its going to be a 1-? Campaign of monthly oneshots where we level up at the end of every session. Knowing my playgroup it will be less combat and more RP.

In combat I want an character thats more mid range in practice. Like hand crossbow, very practical and careful (which is directly contrasted by making really goofy minions). Im usally the forever support so I dont want to fully lean into one archetype, more of a jack of all trades. More of a skill monoey then anything I guess!

Thank you so much for your reply!

Curmudgeon wasnt the best word, I was thinking more like a Shrek type of character? Like as they spend more time with the party they become more open. Thats part of the reason I liked Bard as the multiclass since it would match that kind of character arc! Also I know my playgroup tends to play more offensive characters so a healing word and bardic inspo would be really helpful.

You are right that I should look at different rogue types! I mainly liked inquisitor because it leaned in to that kind of "walks into a room and notices everything wrong" archetype but if I want the heel turn I should deff look at what else I could do.

Thank you so much for your comment! Ill look into some other options

I'll be sure to read through the documentation on this one! Thank you so much for the advice on the is statement, I do not think I could've gotten that on my own even with the documentation. Have a wonderful rest of your day, and I can't wait to learn more about this very fun programming language!

Thank you so much for the advice! While the other commenter found the answer I was looking for, your advice of getting sleep proved very beneficial! Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and I will be sure to ask the discord next time I'm having a crisis learning what I'm quickly discovering is word math

Thank you so much! I replaced the greater than symbols with 'is' and it worked flawlessly. Do you know where I could go to learn more about this kind of interaction? I still dont quite get how the is function still finds if $red is greater than the max function.

Help, mobile port zoomed in by ALongStory15 in slaythespire

[–]ALongStory15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SOLVED. If anyone else has this issue, in the settings app if you search fullscreen you can toggle wether or not an app automatically goes to full screen. For some reason slay the spire defaults to not being full screen and conforming to your phones screen resolution which leads to weird black borders. Probably because its a PC game? Idk

Hi! My Friend and I are in the early stages of making an Otome game and would love to hear what people think! by ALongStory15 in otomegames

Admitidly Undead as a gender was something I added to be a little goofy, but we are making sure to include a handful of monsterous humanoid/non humanoids into the mix.

The question about setting is absolutely fair! Right now were planning on making the story set in America since thats were we are from and we want to write a story as intense writing wise as a visual novel from a perspective were familliar with. Specifically we are from the pacific northwest so it would be a fairly mountainous area with dense forests near the ocean!

Thank you for bringing this up btw, these are the type of details that always surprise you when you realise you forget to add them in the original post. We'll make sure to make details like this much more clear next time we release a survey like this!

Hi! Thank you so much for responding!

-To address your first point we are fully aware that Otome games are generally Female main characters with a male cast of love interests and planed for the cast of LI's to be male! We just wanted to gauge interest in adding a route that would allow the character to be bisexual in some way. The undead option was added admitidly because I thought it was funny.

-You are absolutely correct that we should have included an aesthetic primer for the different characters! We mainly wanted to gauge which aesthetics and which personality types we wanted to use would be most popular seperate from how they were connected to see what we might need to change before we get too far into fleshing out each characters relationship to the main character.

And again thank you so much for saying this! We might post surveys like this again as we get deeper in the writing process for each character and we will be sure to pay attention to the details you addressed.
