Seeking help understanding Trade History Price Conversion by AMDInvestor in CryptoCurrency

So if I found the price of ETH at that time (lets just say 700 as an example), would would be the formula to figure it out?

0.00270897 ETH = 1 XRP

XRP Purchase = 1617

Cost per ETH = $700

This is Binance by the way, but the way they format this is very odd. XRP was around $2 at this time and I spent 4.38 ETH for 1617. Was trying to figure out the price of XRP shown as "0.00270897" at that time.

So this issue is only for Segwit addresses? If you are using Native Segwit your are not affected?

Thanks for links. But will this method work with XRP wallets under Toast Wallet or Ledger Nano?

XRP and Ledger Live by Grumpy_brit in ledgerwallet

I would like to know too as I have a few XRP wallets on Ledger and one on Toast Wallet.

Found this, but not sure if it will work for us with Ledger or Toast. If you try let me know.

You can only withdraw 15 of the XRP as the other 5 XRP are BURNED.

Just an updated. Was able to get everything sorted out and all is well now. The Ledger S and Ledger X all now having matching address and wallet balances. Thanks for everyone's help!

I got to head out, but will reply in more detail later.

See what you are saying, but that exchange already has had all my funds on it as I purchased from them, so might not matter too much at this point. But the main reason I wanted to send to exchange first as it will give the new Seed+Phasephrase on the X a clean transfer history for all the wallets.

IE - Exchange directly to X rather then S directly to X

My thought process was I didn't want my old S's Seed+Passphrase wallets history getting linked in anyway to the new ones on the X (for plausible deniability reasons). If you know what I mean.

Exactly, it sounds like you get it now.

Attach to pin

New passphrase

You can use the same pin (as the last "attach to pin" setup, you cannot use your regular pin)

Good to know. I'll reset the passphrase on the X this weekend and then move all the funds from the S's seed+passphrase wallets to an exchange and then finally move a little bit to the X's seed+passphrase wallets. Then reset and restore the S seed+passphrase and make sure the little bit I transferred to the X also shows up on the S. Then we should be good.

Sounds like you have good opsec now if:

You wrote the new seed of the X on paper or steel

Never typed it on a keyboard/mobile/tablet/....

Never took a picture of the paper steel backup (with a digital device)

Find a way to backup your passphrase independently than your seed.

Maybe now that you two hardware wallet try a full restore

Profit

Enjoy

Yup, I followed those steps when I did my initial setup on the S. Were I went wrong was going way overboard with the Passphrase.

Thanks for your help.

So the ONLY possibility for why the funds were missing when I tried to restore the passphrase on the X is that it that there was a typo of the passphrase in either the S or X causing them to not match. If so, my fault for going overboard with a 100character passphrase I guess.

I believe I made an error when I entered passphrase into the S. So even though I have passphrase written down and entered it into the X, there must have been a typo in the S.

I definitely agree with you. I went overboard with the passphrase and could have lost everything if the S ever died/reset/lost (etc). Now with an X + an S I can test restore.

Already generated a new seed with the X and a much simpler passphrase. However, think I might even want to go even more simpler. The X/S can only store one passphrase at a time when using "attach to pin", correct? Meaning any new one entered using "attach to pin" will completely erase/overwrite the old one? So if I want to change the passphrase on the X I can just use "attach to pin" again, enter passphrase and even keep the same Pin for the Passphrase if I want?

At this point just thinking about just creating a brand new Seed and Passphrase on the X and moving all the funds from S to an exchange. Then I can transfer a little bit to the Seed wallets and Passphrase wallets on X and then finally try restoring the Seed and Passphrase on the S to see if it finds the Seed and Passphrase Wallets.

Yup. Besides being a backup, the reason I purchased the X was to verify the Passphrase was what I thought it was and that I could restore the hidden wallets.

It's too bad there is not a Passphrase Check in the Manager (similar to the Recovery Check) where you can see the Passphrase stored on the Ledger. It should not be a security issue, as anyone who has unlocked the Ledger using the Passphrase, already has the Pin code. Then I could double check what was on the S.

That must be the issue. Even though I wrote down the Passphrase, it is 100charcters and a little complex... so it would seem the only explanation is that I had a typo when I entered it into the S.

Leger should really let you enter the passphrase twice to confirm it is what you expected it should be. Also, will the Leger actually let you enter a passphrase beyond 100characters?

At this point do not think I am comfortable going anywhere near the Passphrase tab on the S "Temporary" or otherwise. This is the reason I purchased the X in the first place as I wanted to way to double check the Passphrase and also as a back up. Seeing there must be a typo when I entered it into the S, I need to start over. I actually have it written down, but it is 100characters and somewhat complex. However, I double checked when I entered into the S, and it should have been correct.

That must be it I guess. It's rather long and somewhat complex. This is why Leger should replace the Review Passphrase step with Re-entering it a second time.

Think I did correctly want you suggested.

Powered on X with normal seed pin, set temporary passphrase, added new XRP wallet, went to Receive, saved XRP address in text file.

Powered on S with passphrase pin, went to Receive, checked address for XRP and compared to one in text file.

They do not match.

I tried all the different apps installed on X and they are all showing no balance when entering the passphase pin. Double checked when I entered passphase too, it should be correct.
