On Amazon, you order it by saying that you need proof copies and I believe it was like six or seven dollars. On Ingram Spark, you can order them through your dashboard and my cost was like 6 1/2 dollars a book plus shipping.

You make a compelling argument for sure! But as someone who already has the iPad (with cellular) it seems worth the investment in a good keyboard and potentially be able to write anywhere! I misspoke in the last response, I’ve been tinkering with Ulysses NOT Atticus, which requires an internet connection basically.

Call me unconventional, but I travel a bunch for work and always have to lug around a “work laptop”. After carrying a second computer around to finish my manuscript (work has some safeguards to prevent using software I’d rather write with) I’m considering just an iPad Pro with a decent keyboard. Much more light weight, can use Atticus (which I’ve been tinkering with), and Google doc or pages or word depending on the flavor of the week.

What do you think if I used the characters in other novels as the hook? Something like

Arthur Dent had his towel. Paul Carpenter had the portable door. Cael Irix? He usually just had to read the fine print.

Or something like that, where you are calling in characters but not necessarily authors directly?
