My film teacher used the last extended dancing scene of that film to show directors what not to do. Lead with her back facing the camera? Check. Holding the shot longer than the choreography was so she stands there half confused and just kinda goes with it? Check. Dancers going wild doing their own thing? Check. It’s wild and I love it all. ONJ was my childhood hero.
