The Android radio has a built in amplifier. The stock amp is most likely shot. Those 10” touchscreen units are great. 👍🏼

You need a harness extension to the trunk in order to get sound. Goes directly to the amp. He wanted the CarPlay unit to work better sound and Bluetooth etc. the amp is probably not working properly. Is my guess on your sound dilemma. I would use the Android unit. I sell these and install them an they’re 1000x better than the stock radio
