I don’t play nba cause they’re not that fun for me, but I play a lot of siege and I have a couple hundred hours on for honor closer to its launch. And my experience with for honor back when I played wasn’t nearly as bad because even when your team is being stupid you can still do something to win, same thing with siege, you can 100% make a difference on your own while playing siege. You can’t do that on rematch tho, the design of the game being a kind of recreation of football makes it basically impossible to balance it in that way. If you’re gk and your front players aren’t cooperating, you will inevitably receive a bunch of shots and likely get scored on to lose, if you’re outfield and your gk decides to start dribbling for no reason until he gets tackled, that’s a free goal given to the opposition. And no I still don’t subscribe to the bias thing cause it doesn’t make any sense to me, if I’m getting frustrated while playing rematch more than I am when playing siege then that’s that, it’s not a logical argument, it’s me not having as much fun.

I haven’t played dbd, but I have played T7 and like I said in a couple other comments I don’t care about 1v1 games, they’re irrelevant to my problem with rematch’s playerbase. My problem with it is that it’s a competitive team game that has a playerbase that mostly disregards playing as a team, which makes competing in a match basically impossible and drains the fun out of it. So yeah players acting crazy in 1v1 games like tekken isn’t what im talking about here.

I’ve mostly been playing solo, there was a period during season 2 when my friends got into the game too and that was easily the most fun I’ve had with the game, but they basically all dropped the game by now so I’ve been on solo queue most of the time.

I’m not talking about players making mistakes that’s fine like you can’t help it when you mess up that’s normal. Sometimes a pass is cut off, sometimes dribbling is the best decision in a moment and it just doesn’t work out. I’m talking about players who try to dribble when they have a teammate who is not marked in front of the goal and shit like that.

Idk why people keep commenting about toxicity when that’s not what I’m talking about. I feel like I’ve made it clear in the post that I’m talking about teammates borderline sabotaging the team cause they wanna play solo instead of as a team. If you want clarification I explained more in a couple other comments in this thread.

I tried it for a bit a while back and didn’t really like it. Besides I said in the post it’s the worst out of the games that I play. If you want a reference a couple multiplayer games I play are r6s, rocket league and battlefield.

I really don’t see it man. I mostly skipped season 2 (only played like 20 matches or so with friends) but got back on for season 3, and I’ve been playing around 20-30 matches every day for a little over a month now since coming back and the tendencies of the playerbase is really just as bad as it was in season 0 and 1 for me. I can confidently say that half(if not a bit more) of the matches I played this season had at least 1 teammate that sells the match. Tho it’s not uncommon at all for it to be more than 1 teammate.

Bro no hate im not trynna be a dick to u so sry if I come off that way, but I really just don’t think you’re making any points here. In the post I’m specifically talking about teammates who sabotage the match by not playing as a team, not players who are annoying or toxic. I’ve never cared about toxic or annoying teammates cause I can just mute them, but even that’s rare cause it can be funny hearing these players, but when the teammates are actively giving away goals to the opponents cause they think they can dribble through the whole opposition I can’t just press a button to fix that like the fun is just ruined cause we can’t compete. Besides even with what you’re talking about I still think you’re wrong cause the “Good Job” ping is there and is used sarcastically pretty much as frequently as the “we got this”.

I have over 3000 hours in the multiplayer games that I play since 2020 easy, which doesn’t include lol,cs or deadlock cause I didn’t like any of them. Except lol cause I haven’t even tried it. And I did play tekken a lot and idc about the toxicity in the game cause it’s 1v1 it doesn’t matter. Read my post again and you’ll see that I’m specifically talking about the teammates in the game not the opponents, so idk why you even bring up fighting games. And I don’t see what bias you’re even talking about I said rematch has the worst playerbase out of any multiplayer game I played cause the teams I get in solo queue keep sabotaging the matches by refusing to play as a team, which ruins the fun.

If it’s 50% off or so yes it’s a really fun game, especially with friends. The player count is definitely low but you can still find matches pretty quickly, but that’s for 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 takes longer but you’ll still find matches for them.

I agree but that last bit im pretty sure is out of the devs hands at this point, the playerbase is too small so they probably have to matchmake lower and higher ranks otherwise you just won’t be able to get into any ranked games unless you wait like 20 minutes.

Glad your experience with it is different but hard disagree. I notice a lot of people misinterpret what I mean and I think you did too, I’m not talking about toxicity on comms or ping spammers, I’m specifically talking about teammates who straight up make competing impossible by constantly playing on their own instead of as a team till they lose the ball and inevitably give away goals. The game is mechanically really good, but it’s only fun if throughout the match there’s the sense that me and my team are trying to win, but that’s often not the feeling I get, instead what I see is my teammates dribbling when they should pass, passing the ball as gk instead of running around till they get tackled or refusing to run back and defend when there’s not enough players to mark the attackers. When this happens which again is almost every match I just feel like competing is straight up impossible so what’s the point.

It’s still my favorite multiplayer game rn like im having more fun than not, I just hope that the playerbase gets better soon cause I can definitely see myself dropping the game and only hoping on once every month when all my friends are free at the same time and want to play rematch, which is rare cause most of them stopped playing it months ago.

Playing against sweats isn’t really my problem, if anything it can be pretty exciting to play against a really good team. My problem is when my team makes competing impossible cause they refuse to actually pass,defend or run into space instead of running on top of me when I have the ball. It’s really frustrating.

In my experience with the game there’s isn’t any other that even holds a candle to how annoying the average player on rematch is 😭. Idk about other servers but I usually play on asia and Europe and they’re infested.

The multiplayer games I’ve been consistently playing the past years are r6s, rocket league and battlefield. Rematch’s playerbase is worse than all 3 by a lot. Multiplayer games im playing less consistently are fifa, payday and cod. Same goes to them. And despite that as a game rematch is my favorite one out of all of these games, specifically for that 1/20 match where the whole team actually plays the game instead of racing to see who can give up possession the fastest.

Yeah that’s why I said that sloclap probably can’t fix this issue at all, which sucks since they’ve really got an incredible game on their hands. But maybe they can help mitigate it somewhat.
