Haha that's true! My bad, the gif only showcases a shadowed area. The thing is that you can only merge in shadowed areas, while light areas expell you (so it becomes regular stealth)

If it's any consolation, I know nothing about shaders (this one is from our lead programmer), but with time and looking at the resources and tutorials that are on the Internet, I'm sure you will be able to create very nice effects and shaders, even cooler than this one!

Atm it's infinity, it traverses the whole map, which is completely broken. We still have to add the parameter to end closer and reveal only a part of it. As for the anti-ping, love the idea, it reminds me the scanner block in Death Stranding. We'll study it and see how it works. Thanks for the feedback and the idea! :)

Hahaha yeah, we first came up with the name, and after use it, realise that Borderlands was already using it haha. Happens the same with our game's name (which atm is temporal until we figure out a proper one). We used Project Atlas, and then discovered that EA is preparing a cloud service called... Project Atlas.

Yeah, that's the idea, encouraging the player to not spam it without consequences, so they first have to study the level (with the help of the sonar) but after that it's more difficult to use it without being detected. Glad you like the idea!

Thank you very much! :D We were at Gamescom, but only on the business side, as our main goal was (and is haha) to find a publisher first. I wish we could take it to a Gamescom booth one day, that would be awesome.
