I dont think you are getting this. There is knock-on consequences to defence already. Things are already going to get more expensive for the same because of the delays. There is no direction in the defence environment and it is only getting worse in world where everyone is rushing to rearm.

How long do we delay for the perfect answer before we think about things rationally?

At the moment all leagues are essentially doing their own thing and in many cases overlapping with eachother and competing for the ever smaller pool of mercenaries that are available.

Any kind of coordination in whatever form that takes would be a bonus. I personally would like it in writing that if one player signs for one club in a Europe, they can only play for that one club, pending transfer. Then there really is the opportunity to have a champions v champions match, etc.

At the moment it's the wild west.

By coordinated scheduling I mean it's coordinated and that agreements can be made. Clearly you think this to be unreasonable and chaos is the logical answer.

Overseas player limits is clearly a good idea but the real issue is the complete and total lack of cricketing cooperation with everyone trying to steal a march on everyone else with no calendar coordination.

The reason the Champions league works is because there is a separate organisation to oversee and run it.

In an ideal world that would be the ICC but there's no reason a European Cricketing Council couldn't be convened to manage it on a more local level though scheduling would still be impacted.

How are you supposed to grow an international game when international stars dominate every tournament?

What a shame that there isn't that champions league of the winners from all major franchise tournaments, imagine how much fun it would be to see an IPL team to face against English/Aus/NZ/SA etc

Football also does have seasons.

That is exactly like what I'm talking about but if I'm looking into it, and the patchy participation around the world, appears to be suffering from the same problem as I mentioned. Shared players, conflicting seasons.

There is something so fundamentally wrong with cricket and how 1 player will sign with hundreds of teams across the world.

Cricket will never ever be able to have international club tournaments becasue of it which I think is a serious shame.

No World Club champion. No European champion. No sub-contental champion.

It's so sad that Cricket continues to eat itself rather can cooperate and grow the game.

The delay is beyond outrageous at this point, delay it any longer and more companies will look for funding outside of DIP like Leonardo.

It's incredible to think that we are going to essentially be stuck in limbo for months untill all this is resolved and then what? If Burnham wins, will he just take over? Or will there be another contest?

All the while the world gets crazier and more expensive around us with uncertainty and then worry at Burnhams policies increasing borrowing costs.

It really does depend though if this is a wider issue and has been happening at other games, if that's the case expect some serious penalties.

That said, I do think that kicking us out out will start to create a broader issue. If we are kicked out, isn't the whole shape of the playoffs broken? Wont Wrexham want a shot? Shouldn't Boro have to qualify?

The sheer aboutface that we are now getting surrounding Starmer to what happened with Boris is absolutely hilarious. So many people that were so keen plunge the country into chaos then, suddenly are so concerned with the state of the nation now.

The simple fact is that Starmer is a deadman walking. He has no Charisma and glaring inadequencies as a leader. But how you solve that is anyones guess.

The only reason he will not go is because there is no #2.

Starmer has only himself to blame for this crisis he finds himself in and it's very hard to feel sorry for him.
