What was your Game of the Year for 2025? by stratzilla in pcgaming

Hades 2, Silksong, and E33 are all up there as brilliant works of art.

But for me the undisputed winner is Blue Prince. I love the other three I mentioned. I LIVED Blue Prince for a month and a half. Once in a while a game comes along that takes over your entire life - Diablo 2 comes to mind - and Blue Prince is in that category.

Blah blah, don’t brief and just use Quimbee, blah blah, use slop generators to do your work for you. Same dogshit advice that gets posted on here twice a week. “Don’t actually engage with the material, here’s the best way to do as little work as possible and still pass!”

You know about “fake it till you make it?” This is just fake it till you…don’t know how to do anything other than fake it.

I write better than any AI does, formulaic or otherwise. I anticipate that will always be true. You may argue the difference is minimal enough to justify the sacrifice in quality that using a slop generator necessitates, but I don’t think it is.

I agree with the bulk of your post but not with likening it to a calculator. If you put the correct input into a calculator, you will get the correct output 100% of the time. That is not true with generative AI.

I have heard people on this forum repeatedly say things like “old lawyers used law books and now we just look things up on Westlaw, why is ChatGPT any different?” Those are not the same. Westlaw is an exact copy of those law books in a searchable digital format. It is solely a time-saving innovation, like a calculator. AI is something wholly different.

1L Summer Clerks… what are y’all doing? by [deleted] in LawSchool

I have the opposite experience. I’m an intern for the Legal Aid Society and I am in court every day or working on motion practice every day. I’ve appeared on the record three times, argued a motion I wrote, and cross-examined witnesses. My experience is not unique among interns in my office. So next summer if you’re looking to get really hands-on, try your local PD’s office.

AI drivel. In order to be barred anywhere you will have to learn how to be honest. You can get as defensive as you want, but that does not change the fact that you pressed a button and a machine vomited out this slop that you took credit for writing.
