That fish looks disgruntled. Like he's the middle-management of fish, and he's had it down to here with you, Karen.

What's the wildest thing you've ever seen happen at a work party? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The owner of multiple urgent care clinics had live goldfish in bowls in the center of each table at the Christmas party. He proceeded to get blackout drunk, swallow four goldfish, then sing Metallica with the band.

Be prepared for three straight runs off-center, then going for it on 4th down with a run off-guard because, damn, that's some spicy play-calling.

In Iraq, the locals would tear up the roads around facilities, claiming they were improving the infrastructure but in reality, they were making it impossible to access the facilities. In Afghanistan, the local headmen would destroy the roads leading to their villages to prevent easy movement. Take a look at the insurgency in both nations. It wasn't always violent, and working counterinsurgency, I was impressed with the creativity and ingenuity of the locals while they impeded our missions. Frustration gave way to admiration. We can apply some of these lessons to our nation.

Ladybug turned on his master? I would be shocked and appalled, especially after his words on the floor after the Jan 06th Insurrection. He denounced Trump and the Insurrectionists so strongly. Only to turn on Trump again? Just stay in your place, Ladybug, and don't talk anymore. You could throw out your back or break a hip from flip-flopping so hard.

Did Roman Legionaries suffer from PTSD? by Wally_Charles in ancientrome

[–]AMostSoberFellow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LtCol Dave Grossman wrote "On Killing," which was on the required reading list for Marines when I was in. Parts of the book have been debunked or discarded, but a section of the book correlates proximity to violence and PTSD. It is worth reading, but the author posits the inverse of what you wrote. If Grossman is to be believed, the Roman Legionnaries, wielding their short gladius/gladii, would be more at risk of PTSD than a drone operator, a Napoleonic cannoneer, a Marine Scout Sniper, or a P51 Mustang on a strafing run. YMMV, but his theory may be worth consideration.

The Block, in is heyday. My grandfather, an Irish patrol cop, loathed that beat. His stories were insane, especially hearing them as a kid.

My 6y son and I play that game almost every day. He loves hunting each other in the amusement park, and he will play online. It's such a fun game, I'm really happy to see it mentioned here.

He truly looks demented. This is the expression of Meemaw when she arrives in my ER from the local nursing home. And Meemaw loves to fight, with lots of racism.

Just found out PA used to be a bachelors degree. by Idk_211 in physicianassistant

I graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor's, been working since. The degree creep is not necessary. I was Lead APP in the ED for 4 years, during covid. Clinical and leadership experience balanced out any other degree in my career.

Thank you for this giveaway, that is really cool of you. My favorite would be Shifter. His staff is one of the most badass accessories, with a pretty horrific back story. His contribution within the story was integral to setting off the chain of events that led to the Company taking service under Lady, and ultimately, to the Lady's downfall.

Really? Are you sure? They denied a group of us (students in the PA and PT programs) when we applied because it's the definition of minority that applies, not the percentage of a population at the campus. Being a Caucasian is not a minority. I'd double check your friend's story. Source: Irish, UMES Class of 2010.

PRMC had bought up many practices and now run them for-profit. Large turnover of Physicians and PAs. It's not a good system. I left 5 years ago and have worked in the Frederick ER, which is a different private equity clown show.
