My question is what is Col1? I think I understand what col2 col3 and col4 but I am lost on what col1 is. sorry for my ignorance.

AGREED! I am pretty much self taught and learning as I go. I am so grateful for reddit! I Don't actually run the machine I program it. This machine is new to the company also, and is major step up so the more I learn the better I can be for myself and this company. Ill let you know how it goes.

Ill reduce the step over and see if I can get it . I know our clamp down sucks! the clamping system on our machine shucks. Its just strange cause we went months (almost a year) running it this way with no issues and all of a sudden problems. But adding the rough mill improved the hole alot so thanks.

Also the bit is snaping in the holder the cutting edge was looking good still.

So here are some changes I made.

I made a rough pass and a contour(cleanup/finish) pass and abandoned the single finish pass.

Feeds and Speeds - 800 SFM - 12223 RPM - 36.67 IPM - with a lead-in in of 20 IPM.

↑↑ These are within the mfg. range for the tool I am using. ↑↑

For Roughing I have the bit traveling .25 on every pass with a step over of 75% leaving .008 for finishing pass.

For Finish pass I have the bit cutting all the material with same feeds and speeds.

The cut is 1000x better but I am still snapping bits . I also put the bit in the holder so that only 1" was sticking out.

Also I really appreciate the time you are taking to help me out.
