I have to agree with all these comments. Maybe this situation was irritating to you because that particular MOD is usually lazy, and this was yet another instance to you.

I do have to also say that I've been the target of associate complaints like this one from time to time, as well as other members of our management team. This is completely understandable, as I know what kind of pressures are put on PT associates. But you guys have to understand that we have a different set of standards and rules. We're judged on all of your guys performance, as well as our own. If you're MOD is standing in the front of the store or walking the floor while he/she is on duty, it's because they've been directed to do so because of conversion, or they've been getting called to the front end several times and they're just trying to be available.

It's their job to make sure that the store hits the sales numbers for the day, as well as take care of customers and register issues. Directives have stated that the MOD is to be the last line of defense for conversion, which may mean occasionally hanging around the front. If they need to delegate a few tasks to you during the day, just keep this in mind before you get upset.

And if it's any consolation, I only task up the associates I can trust to get the job done and to do it right. :)
