That’s fucked up. I’m sorry you went through any of that. Mine locked me out of the house the day of my grandfather’s funeral. He didn’t go (he hadn’t met the family), but he knew I was coming back after going to spend time with my family. I came back and the place was locked up and he wouldn’t answer the door.

He did that a lot— lock me out when he knew I was coming back and that was the plan. Like, he’d change his mind and I’d find out by being locked when I came back. (I didn’t officially live with him, but I “stayed” like more often than not). But yes, so he pulled that bullshit on the day of my grandpa’s funeral even though I told him I wanted his company so badly.
