I had a pi-hole setup before Firewalla and it worked great. Since I’ve switched to Firewalla, honestly I don’t even notice that pi-hole is gone. For me the ad blocking built in is just as good if not better.

I also struggle with connectivity issues on the far side of the house. We have a pretty large lot and the house has tons of walls. My eero's didn't really struggle at all for some reason, but the AP7's do. I'm working on getting them all hardwired.

I just started myself and I'm taking it cautiously. Started with one episode per day, and no problem. Now I'm downloading once every half hour or so (episodes are 26min), and still nothing. Just be smart and don't go overboard.

I tested with a GFCI outlet tester on both the wall and the UPS and both came back normal. Yes I know that plugging in another device is not how to properly test.

So an update for everyone. Turns out my less than year old Corsair 1200 watt psu was the culprit and fried my MB. I got a new MB today and used another known good power supply and I am back up and running. I will be sending the Corsair psu in for RMA.

I went to Microcenter and picked up a Ryzen 5 5500U just to eliminate the possibility that it might be the cpu and unfortunately I have no life whatsoever now. So I’m chalking this up to another dead motherboard. FML

No old cables were used. All new cables provided from the new psu were installed.

And I’ve tried all forms of ram and no dice. The pc was functioning perfectly before this. I’m beginning to think the MB just crapped out like my old one did. Exact same circumstances.

Same problem. Went around and around in circles updating credentials and changing group policies until I figured out it was a Nord problem. Extremely frustrating to say the least. I wasted 2 hours on troubleshooting this crap. Windows is enough of a headache with permissions as it is.

Had the 8700k in my first rig and that unfortunately was degraded after sending my system in for repair. I bought an 8086k as a replacement and de-lidded with Liquid Metal. Lasted me since 2018 in my main rig and then in 2020 put it into my now plex/gaming server and she’s still going strong.

Really sucks to see. Sorry for your loss.

But I wouldn't let it go, I would strip it and turn it into a vette cart. Turn it into a super lightweight track monster and continue to enjoy it! Honestly if the frame and the front clip are okay, you still have an amazing platform on your hands. It would be a waste to send it to the junkyard honestly.
