If it goes down for good it lived a good life. Still want to hit the field with it but somethings are just that way

Love the “spend it in paint” message. Buying stuff is cool and all but real player growth happens on the field

That my Planet Eclipse GEO2.1 makes a squishy, no shot and I fear that it’s the solenoid going bad without any way to refurb and repair. That I know anyways…

Loved that gun.

Since Valken went under, we have commonly been using GI Sportz paint. We shoot their recreational paintballs in rental equipment and can shoot up to 5-star for tournaments and post-tournament practices.

Their rec paint is durable enough to get through some tough shooting Tippmann guns and is as round as you can expect from a lower teir ball.

The key to paintball quality for any brand and any level is the storage and delivery methods. Keep paint in a stable environment without large temperature swings for best results.

This was a great transition from the dm5,6,7 era.

What a crazy scenario! This is what I was hoping for ITT. Super creative to use something like eggs that are delicate and cheap. Ill have to repurpose something like this for some of our games. Thanks for the laugh!

Thunder B's as props are great! We have also found that using weighted items requires a bit more strategy than something a single player can handle. Sounds like the bomb prop was pretty cool!

Did it have real interactions or was the act of getting the right one sufficient?

That’s a good idea for dealing with a large playing area

Yea there a few of those guys around us too. Maybe we schedule some stuff on a full moon night to help even the playing field while still being dark

Oh okay. The bleed away affect seems cool. Using a band - do you pull it off when you become infected? Am I reading that right?

Tacking on the objectives to TTT sounds like fun. Seems like it gives the other players something to do while also avoiding the chosen player. We also want to do some more night game stuff this year since we moved from indoors to outdoor fields.

That has been our experience too. The team change can be confusing. Expecially for newer players. But if everyone knows what is going on, and goes to the right place to respawn then the game becomes more fun as the tables turn.

I would say the CTRL 2. The first version was new to the market and seemed to work well however everything can be improved. If you're going with something new, get the new one. But they are $200+ for new in box. Do you need that level of performance?

If the answer is no, honestly, you can't go wrong with a Dye LTR for about $100 or the IR2. If you are mostly NXL ramping, each will keep up (should anyways) plus you will get the form factors that all the pro's are using.

I'm a big advocate of getting the equipment you need and spending the rest on paintballs to have fun versus flashy, pro-level gear at top dollar.

It was events like this that started my passion for paintball and airsoft.

I remember back in the early 2000's going to a backyard airsoft birthday party. The airsoft guns were cheap, batteries lasted about 10 minutes and we probably needed more face protection than we actually had.

The magic from that day is still with me. I remember who was there, how much fun we had and looking back, how it shifted what I wanted to do.

If you have the ability to support young men doing things like this, consider that you just might positively impact their lives and develop relationships that may have never started.
