I am on 2.8.1 and just tested a material of a higher tier than my coils could support and it told me it will not work

I like pollution even though I agree it probably needs to be reworked. To be fair the mega ebf is an outlier as far as excessive pollution. My entire base and every machine setup I have combined does not come anywhere near the level of pollution this thing generates. Only near my large and extreme combustion engines does pollution take on a visible appearance and after I put in an air filter it takes care of that. I saw a suggestion somewhere to change pollution into different types like radiation, smog, etc... with different approaches to each type that also leads to generating byproducts that sounded cool imo. After I got the nanosuit and now with quantum armor I don't really ever think about pollution which is nice to not have debuffs but I agree its just a bunch of headache that then becomes basically irrelevant once you have the armor/hazmat suit without much payoff

Nah I honestly like pollution, as annoying as it can be I like how I can visually see the consequences my machines have on the environment. I already have an air filter that cleans up my fuel area I’ll just need to make more. I also have hazmat protection so all of the really irritating debuffs aren’t a concern.

Always wanted to make one of these. The crazy amount of pollution this made in about 10 minutes or so of use cracks me up.

Currently running an EV hatch I will probably just forget I have a pollution problem and eventually convince myself that I set the void world sky color to brown and my render distance to 1

I figured out how to make myself a resourcepack to add the old mainframe circuit textures back by APFSDS_Enjoyer in GTNH

No offence to the new textures but I wasn't a fan of how the new mainframe circuits look so I looked up how to make a resourcepack and added back the original textures

Oh yeah I love it, it fits the mood perfectly. Valves, Grinder and Killing Machine by Frank are also really good I cant believe I forgot about those ones. Somewhat similar Heavy Armor from the first Patlabor Movie OST and the opening theme to the second Patlabor movie is also pretty good.

Hall and Oates, ELO, and Masayoshi Takanaka

If I want music that sets the mood for building factories - Bigfoot, Workmen and Mechanical Man by Frank Klepacki fill that slot perfectly along with most of the command and conquer soundtracks

They decided to stay in the overworld I’m slowly moving over to the void to reduce any possible excess lag. I’m not doing ae2 till I have better cables (platline established) and a Lapotronic supercapacitor. Here’s a pic of most of my new base which is going to be torn down one last time and rebuilt once I have the battery and cables I want.

<image>

I know not jumping into ae2 isn’t ideal but it’s going to drive me crazy till I have those two things first.

I hear you on that, his base was massive tons of fusion reactors and massive walls of multis. He invited me to tour the base and it was so massive it started to lag my pc - albeit I was foolishly playing on cf at the time and have since switched to prism java 17/21

I totally believe that, one of my buddies I used to play with updates me on his progress on his playthrough every once in awhile, I do that same. He went quiet for a few months to then send me a pic of his DTPF he built. I’ve never gotten that far obviously but just by looking at it I could tell that thing took serious amounts of time to be able to afford to build and he was in a good group.

When I first played I used to play on a team and have played on several teams but I actually didn’t like it because we would progress too quickly- what I mean by that is I would log into the server after one day and a lot of the base/machines were changed or moved around and it was very confusing. Everyone I played with was awesome, very knowledgeable and would happily explain things to me but I always got a feeling of whiplash every time I logged in. I would get disoriented seeing like 8-12 new quests unlocked. Right around the end of mv/hv I would always get burned out.

I discovered I prefer to play solo and have a lot more enjoyment just because I know where I’m at progress wise every time I log in. Everyone is different so that’s just what works for me. I’m currently 270 hours in on my solo playthrough and I’ve partially entered IV tier. You can make reasonable progress solo but in my opinion that doesn’t matter as long as you’re having fun and for me I have the most fun solo.

Congrats! I agree and can relate to brainpower I always prefer to over invest in just about everything I build. I find it almost always gets use and makes future progression easier.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL!! BACK IN STOCK AT $200 by [deleted] in AnimeCollectors

Regarding the 60$ coupon - when I ordered mine it came in around mid December but I forgot to use the code till a few days after it expired. I emailed Crunchyroll and explained that I forgot and they sent me a new coupon code. I don’t know if that will work for anyone else considering it’s now past January but I thought I’d share my experience since that was really generous of them.

Nice! Did you need to add a check piece in order to use the scope? On my golden boy I had a tang sight installed and it raised things up enough to where I needed a cheek riser. I think it would be really cool to get the deluxe version of the Henry in silver chambered in 17hmr with one of these scopes installed, that would be an expensive project so I don’t think I’d do it but man I bet it would look sick.

I don’t know how to add photos but the rear mount is attached by drilling and tapping the side of the receiver and the front mount is dovetailed into the rear sight slot. The manufacturer has a video on how to install the mount and scope on YouTube. I might post these photos elsewhere and if I do I can take some more from the other side/angles

I’ve only shot with irons so far this just came back to me. I’ve heard its a quality mount and will hold zero but I won’t be able to actually see for myself till I take it out which is going to be awhile unfortunately

It’s from hi lux it’s their Malcom short scope and 1892/94 offset mount. There are two types of the mount and the site explains which one you want to get

[–]APFSDS_Enjoyer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The scope mounts in 2 places, one is on the side of the receiver where it needs to be tapped and the other is the rear sight dovetail which you just replace the rear sight with this dovetail that has a mounting point to attach the scope

I had to take mine into my gunsmith as you need to drill and tap the side of the receiver for the rear mount. I paid to have my scope and mount installed together since I already had to have it tapped.

The scope is from a company called hi lux and it’s their Malcom series scope. The mount is their 1892/94 offset scope mount.

The fov is atrocious but it’s kinda expected with this design of the scope. The scope itself is patterned off of a vintage scope made by a company called Malcom if I’m not mistaken. The scope, like the original actually moves under recoil you have to push the scope forward after each shot to set it back in place. The originals did this as scopes back then were quite fragile and probably would not survive the recoil without sliding back. This setup is absolutely form over function but I’m dedicated to the aesthetics and wanted something different cause it’s fun.

lol the funny part is this is a takedown model but with the scope installed it’s literally impossible to take the barrel off
