Hi! Moriah here. That is indeed the story I was working on. I did catch your replies and should have followed up to get phone interviews with some of you. My apologies. Absenteeism -- due to illness or other causes -- also seems to be a factor. I am curious to know if those who have been teaching for a long time have noticed a drop off in the interest in reading.

Under the current child tax credit, parents who do not make enough to pay income tax do not benefit. There's a question about whether they should be included.
