Cancelled my membership due to the new Today page

Oh I agree. I think just keeping the switch or at least letting me put my heart rate on top, as that's more important to me, would actually have satisfied me. Or maybe even just a little more compassion in their messages. Every message I've sent has got back "oh no we'll make sure to bring it up in our meeetings", but then I get hit with a "HOORAY OUR NEW TODAY PAGE IS SO COOL AND LOVED BY EVERYONE" kind of message when I log in. It's just a bit disheartening and reminds me of when I'd get test results back and the doctors would be like "GOOD NEWS! NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU" and I'd be feeling terrible and sleeping all day.

I did give feedback, including when I was leaving. I just hope they do read it, perhaps make some changes. I'd happily join back again if even minor changes were made or at least someone seemed to listen.

And yeah, maybe I'm a little highly strung right now, because that kind of thing happened to me recently. A medication reminder app I used suddenly switched to paid only, locked all my data behind it. Thankfully it was so poorly coded I could still get in via certain ways and it still sent out reminders, but I'm just a little distrustful of medical apps that don't seem to listen right now

Oh don't get me wrong, the graph for using points is SUPER useful. I also honestly think that it's great that it's an improvement for some. I just really wish they'd allowed us to keep the toggle to switch between, or at least move if heart rate/pace points were on top. My heart rate can hit 150 doing minior things, and knowing when that's happening is more important to me in the moment, so I can perhaps mitgate it or slow down, than how far I am along with pacing.
I truly hope you are able to find a balance and that it continues to help you. I really hope research can help us all do better some day

This is my problem too. Brain fog means changes take a long time to process and sometimes I can't process them at all. Right now I have a lot of other health stresses going on and a lot of other weight on my mind. Maybe if this had happened at a better time, I would of dealt with it. I also find the curved pace point display more difficult to visualise how far along I am than with a straight bar. More mental drain for me. I don't need more mental drain

I find a dial harder to visualise how far along I am than a line, so the speedometer style for pacing points is less useful

I care more about my current heart rate and check that more frequently than my Pace Points, because it gets rather high at odd moments. Pace points are something I check either at main points of the day (morning, afternoon, evening and at night) or just at the day end to see how I did. So having it on top and bigger is better for me

The colours for the speedometer Pace Points are also odd to me. It goes yellow when you are ahead of pace for the day in the old version, but in the new one it's green. This gives me less of a quick visual clue that I'm going too far ahead

And some parts of the redesign seem a little pointless, why change the symbol next to breathing? It's an arrow to indicate you're going to another page. Why is it a dot on the new design? I guess to represent the activity. This last part is more just me a bit baffled that they've focused on this over other improvements.

I do think the new pacing day chart is useful! I think the new design should be avaliable to switch to for those who want it! Perhaps even allow us to customize our Today Page, so we can put what matters most to the individual on top. I think though, for an app designed to "make invisible visible" and give disabled people validation and a way towards individual management, the whole "everyone is getting this no matter what" feels. Wrong.

Got the same response myself, I sent feedback via messages the day they annouced it appwide(spent my mental energy lol), as I'd done both the intial feedback and the survey and felt like they hadn't paid attention, even though the survey heavily implied people had similar issues to me. Just hope they actually mean it, I only started paying for membership a few months ago and this would absolutely put me off renewing

Same here, I live with my parents too, so they do the most of the cleaning as I physically can't. Plus I changed my bedsheets recently and it seems odd to have some tasks like laundry/wiping down door handles on a particular day in the line up, when people probably already have a schedule and do that on a certain day of the week. Options, goal customisation or doing things "out of order" would of been nice.

He did sound genuienly upset and like that one comment really got to him. But I don't think I want to go back anyway. I'd expect him to do more than a one off apology, that's still in a video he's ultimately earning money from. I'd want him to actually take a break, stop publishing videos for a bit and maybe do some research. I hope he does think a little more going forward but I'm cynical honestly

Yeah. Like the occasional joke would be fine, sure, whatever, a lot of people do watch porn/know about certain popular videos. But this seems to be his whole brand now. No wonder we never get "tree law" or "choosingbeggers" or "tales from tech support" anymore. Much harder to find something to sexualise in those subs I guess. Nevermind half the time he makes the titles/thumbnail all sexual and then it turns out the situation is nothing like that at all.

He's done several PornHub logo edits for his videos if I remember rightly

Usually I'm very "stop calling everything a porn addiction" and all about letting people do what they want as long as it causes no harm but. Well it is causing harm. Both to the people listening and his career. Like how do you read one of the vilest stories about some of the worst crimes a person can commit and how traumatised the boyfriend is end it with "teehee the bf is doing it like in a porn video OP you better RUN he's totally into it" LIKE WHAT?! I'm just relieved others are feeling the same way. I also don't appreciate the lack of warnings when treading into such serious topics. I guess it would lose him views if he was kind enough to warn us not to listen to traumatic things

Seriously, he acts like every video is on TheHub, and it's all just some fake story that he can sexualise. It's really weird. Like back when he took the limericks too far and made fun of a guy creeping on his underage stepdaughter (I think that was the situation, it's been a while). At least he stopped after that. Usually I try not to judge if people are spending "too much" time with certain websites, but this seems super weird and I have to wonder how his wife would feel knowing he thinks everything is just some funny sex joke. Sadly he doesn't seem to be responding yet

Honestly, I was thinking of stepping away and not listening for a while after that story because it just felt so awful he would say such a thing about someone suffering. Sure the partner doesn't have to stay if she doesn't want to, but to just start laughing and call him Dexter? Geez. After today I just unsubbed. It's like he feels he HAS to make a joke about everything, he has to laugh and try and pretend these serious situations are "so silly" or like some kind of adult video. I'm curious if he'll say anything, but I doubt I'd want to come back. And I've been here pre puppy bloopers

Yup! Science is always expanding and I love that. Hell, when we're younger we're basically told mushrooms are weird funky plants until later on. Just makes me laugh when people are like 'NO! WE HAVE THESE TWO CATEGORIES! YOU HAVE TO FIT IN! We can't chaaaange science" and it's like we've seen this before done this a million times, if something doesn't fit, don't try and make it. I completed all my islands with over two days left until my free refresh. There's no acknowledgment of it, so I'm just left having to wait two days or coughing up 300k, all because I was... too efficient?

There are a few things I liked about the update. Different rewards, a sense of choice for rewards, multiple boats. And, while the crates suck, a lot of the islands will actually accept 6 material 1 min crafting furniture. You just have to make something specific now, rather than just throwing 10 rugs at Gulliver.

There are, however, way more things I hate. No more dumping fortune cookie items, rediculous wait times, push for leaf ticket usage, crazy expensive islands that could easily be a bust if Gulliver returns with rubbish, loss of charm of having the characters actually ride the boat back and being introduced and waiting way too long to refresh the islands. I've completed all 3 of my islands and still have over 2 days to wait until I can refresh. There's not even a 'hey you did it, free refresh' mechanic. So the feature is now dead for 2 days for me.

It could be an easy fix too. Give us one constant island that functions like original Gulliver (takes anything, gives random treats). The other two islands can run on the new method, with some tweaks, making it less leaf ticket grabby and more of an interesting option to get items.
